The idea of the 80/20 rule is talked a lot here and it always sparks discussion on what the world has to gain from an even sex market. I guess for instance that if the causal sex market opened up to average men dating would be better.

But what do the people in the causal sex market gain from evening out this 80/20 rule? How the do women benefit from availing themselves romantically to men who care about their sexual past? How do men benefit from a flood of new men in the casual sex market?

Relationship wise how does an evenly distributed 80/20 benefit the casual sex market? People with compatible lifestyles usually date within their own. So for every man that wouldn’t date a woman for her sexual past, theirs a man with a similar sexual past that would date her. Vice versa for every woman that won’t date a man for his past, a more compatible woman will.

So why not just continue this system of compatibility?
