It feels like every second man who talks to me (Dating Apps, Reddit, Discord, Facebook and other sites ; 28 to 40 years old men) tells me about either his ex girlfriend cheating on him or his attempt at suicide. (Yes, I am not exaggerating, heard this at least 5 times and I am not a therapist)

Many of them specifically do this thing of minimizing my problems to make their problems look bigger and more dramatic.

And I am interested in knowing why? Where does this behavior stems from? Upbringing? Genetics? What's so desirable about being pitied for this men? I actually genuinely don't even know how to react as I don't even feel pity for myself.

Edit: In my experience, lots of women do not want pity, it's just many men in which I observed this behavior.

It's about men trying to FORCE pity and sympathy out of me!!!!
