Please correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't it already been decided by a federal court that universities are required to follow due process? If I remember correctly, there is an article somewhere about the actual court case where a student was not allowed due process by the university and successfully sued the university which has now given precedent for all universities to follow.

If an alledged victim is confortable reporting the crime to his/her university, she should be confortable reporting it to his/her local police.
The process is exactly the same, the police will contact the alledge rapist and ask him to prove them that he is innocent while they will do their best to prove to the world that he is guilty. If they cannot find him guilty or if he can prove that he is innocent, they will drop the case and not pursue the alledge victim.
It is really not complicated

Is this such an important matter that universities feel the need to have rape courts? The bullshit 1 in 4 statistic needs to be academically disbanded from our culture. Ask any parent if they would send their child to a place with a 25% chance of rape, they would overwhelmingly not allow their child. Many of the police are actual municipal police as the size of these universities are that of small cities, so they do follow the same jurisprudence as your local pd.

The whole push to believe any accusation without evidence seriously undermines the right to a fair trial and defence. I've already seem feminists openly mock the idea that a false rape accusation can ruin a guy's life. How do they think it wouldn't ruin his life? Especially if the public opinion is that he's guilty.
