"Victims have rights. Here, the victim also has responsibilities. A 34-year-old woman seduces a 15-year-old boy and becomes pregnant. Is the child's father obligated to pay child support even though he is a victim of statutory rape? We conclude he is liable for child support." Actual case.

We can't punish all Muslims/North African immigrants because of a few bad apples.

But we can punish all men if we include whites. /s

[–]tothecatmobile 59 points60 points61 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Kinda funny that they point out that the gangs were mostly men of a certain age, but totally ignored that they were also mostly of certain ethnic groups.

can you imagine the outrage if it was a suggestion for a curfew for just Arabic/North African men.

I always wondered who would win in a fight between racism and sexism.

[–]hashtagwindbag 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well one has laser eyes and super speed but the other one has x-ray vision and can leap tall buildings in a single bound.

I guess it all depends on whether it's a surprise attack, and how much preparation is allowed.

[–]Paladin327 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Like most tank battles in workd war 2, i think that fight will be determined by who fires first

[–]questionnmark 22 points23 points24 points 10 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

The idea that 'they are a threat to (our) women' is a repeating trigger in history for violence towards minority groups. Europe is probably slipping down the path towards fascism, and it is probably being triggered by the 'intellectual left' because they don't seem to be able to imagine the consequences of letting a large group of people with an alien and incompatible culture into a country. If we are slipping towards greater global conflict then this phase in history will be called a repeat of the appeasement that happened towards germany in the years prior to WW2 'officially' starting.

[–]dungone 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think that letting them into a country is the problem here. The problem with the left is that they are first in line to punish an entire group of innocent people for no good reason.

[–]questionnmark 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's what you get when you try to morph a religious belief system into a secular belief system -- inconsistency. They really do believe in things like 'challenge, discourse, street architecture language etc'. Essentially anything that is European and middle class represents 'gentrification', but anything that is foreign or exotic represents 'development and improvement'.

A lot of the thinking in the left is like a guy being left on an island by himself for too long-- crazy sounding whenever outsiders hear what he has to say. That's what happens when you let whole departments at universities speak only to themselves, and ignore the glaring inconsistencies between each department.

Note most right wing thinking is the same level of crazy.

incompatible culture

Yeah, I'd say raping, murdering, abusing, and enslaving are pretty incompatible with western culture. Do some research on Islam, and you'll realize there is far more to it than just "They be rapin our wimmins!1!1!1!" style xenophobia.

Genocide of the native americans

Evidence?

Genocide of the native aboriginals

Research done. Body count of about 20,000 aboriginals over about 300 yr period. By the same token, the estimated by count due to Islam is about 250 million. A little math shows done puts the Muslim body count at about 2600 to every death that the Aussies are responsible for. Nuff' said.

Salvery and rape of African Americans

Whites only traded in slaves because they were given the opportunity to by African tribes themselves. Muslims did their own capturing, and they killed and raped enslaved far more Africans.

FYI Western civilization has done some darker things that other civilizations have never even contemplated, such as Eugenics where they kill disabled children and babies.

I wonder if that is darker than sex with infants?

You do realize that white people were slaves as well for much of history... Hell Irish people were slaves just as long as blacks in the usa...

[–]questionnmark 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well once you realise what abrogation actually means you're probably quite the true believer.

[–]Demonspawn 84 points85 points86 points 10 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Sure, as long as this curfew applies to ALL men, including policemen, military men, and other public servant men.

Somehow I don't think they'll like the results.

[–]Enzemo 78 points79 points80 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Especially when they realize that the extremely small minority of people that do commit rape, really aren't going to care about breaking a curfew.

[–]mabalo 30 points31 points32 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

and with nearly half the population off the street it just means they'll have more opportunities

[–]lasciate 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The half of the population that would be more inclined to step in to save one of these damsels.

[–]splodgenessabounds 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Also: no night-time truck movements, no rubbish collected, no maintenance of infrastructure (rail, road, power), no warehousing/ distribution work, no monitoring (security, power/ rail/ road infrastructure). Also, almost no night-time flights - given it's night in half the world at any time, that should make scheduling flights very interesting...

[–]Jasperkr672 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists can rage about patriarchy all they want, but the fact of the matter is that society would collapse if men were to stop working entirely for half a day, let alone several weeks. Feminists have done very little to change that.

[–]Rafoie 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As a bus driver who only drives on afternoons and evenings, this plan does sound wonderful. I'll take my evenings back and work in the morning.

[–]SCROTAL-SACK 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, the dumbass really hasn't thought this through at all has she.. Can't expect much from someone with a Master's in Gender Studies mind you (yes she really has lol).

[–]Griever114 32 points33 points34 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You know what, FUCK IT. WE should just say, "fine, go fuck yourselves." And when they are getting robbed or getting their house burnt down or better yet, when all of the politicians say: "sorry, time for curfew" while you get invaded... we should let those fucking bitches stand up for themselves.

[–]Paladin327 11 points12 points13 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Once stuff starts going wrong after the curfew, these harpies will be complaining about how men aren't doing anything to stop it

[–]Griever114 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are right. Cant fucking win with women.... especially feminists.

[–]Paladin327 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's also not a case of "the only way to win is not to play". If you don't play, you lose by even more

[–]lasciate 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As long as declaring yourself a feminist doesn't immediately ostracize you from civil society we all lose no matter what. If you don't play you at least lose less, and you help suffocate the beast.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm thinking the curfew will apply only to white men.

[–]elevul 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, especially since they won't find any men in the bars that they frequent.

[–]throwied 29 points30 points31 points 10 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

The media suggests that only women were victims. I find that unlikely. I tried to research more, but wasn't too successful.

Interestingly, the only mention of male victims were in a feminist magazine, which conducted a interview with a female victim. Apparently a police officer told the women to wait with 5 men who had their cellphones stolen, and told those 5 men to keep an eye out for the women.

As of Saturday evening(2016/01/09) 379 criminal charges were filed. 40% of had a sexual nature, 60% were theft and bodily harm.

It was Muslim immigrants preying on Germans, not men preying on women. But that real story isn't politically correct, so they made up a different one.

[–]FreakJoe 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Do you have any sources for this?

As a German, I've been hearing a lot about this incident and absolutely nothing I've read would indicate racial motives.

Which does not prove that their actions were ethnically motivated.

When 5 white cops shoot 5 black civilians, does that automatically mean they were shot just because of their differing race?

[–]Samurai007_ 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Proof is for courts to decide. However, 5 officers involved in a shooting is very different than a horde of over 1000 Muslims committing dozens, possibly hundreds of crimes in 1 night against all white victims. Add in the fact that this happened in multiple cities that accepted refugees, and that we've seen this kind of thing before (from the British rape gangs to the frenzy in Tarir Square to Scandinavian rape statistics that show the 5% refugee population is responsible for up to 90% of all rapes in the countries) We know the migrants were mostly young men, and they left countries where they were taught that women not dressed in proper Islamic garb are infidels or whores and may be treated as such. This will happen again, though probably in much smaller groups, or even individually. It was New Years that brought so many like-minded people together.

[–]adrianjherman 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I would counter that what europe is experiencing with the refugees is culture clash. There are a group of people that are being poor guests. My opinion from the start has been that those people have a country. They are not entitled to entry into another sovereign nation. If they want stability some of them may have to die to achieve that. Western states are way to involved in fighting every other groups war for freedom or stability. Our country men die and their countrymen act entitled to our resources and way of life. Culture clash is a significant reason in my opinion that we are a long way off from one united planet.

[–]Demonspawn 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are a group of people that are being poor guests.

They're not guests. They are invaders in 5th generation warfare: warfare of cultures predominately fought by wombs.

[–]Jakob1324231 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just a theory based off of what they said, but maybe the motive for the Muslims that are committing is that they veiw the opposing culture as inferior and so think it is acceptable to act in that way. But even though a large number of the perpetrators are Muslim, not all are I'm sure.

[–]adrianjherman 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Muslims are not a race. They are a theological ethnic group as much as christians and jews. Culture derived from religious practice. Historically concentrated to the east of christians by population.

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. The race was black. Black people are violent everywhere they live. America has had this problem for a long time, can't believe Europe just started importing them in by the millions. 150,000 people live in the city I live in and already this year 14 people have been shot. Violence and crime is a serious problem among blacks everywhere around the world.

[–]adrianjherman 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

While i appreciate your honesty your statement is simply not true. Explaining this would mean we need to go to an entirely different subreddit. "Blacks" is also not a race. The people from syria range in skin tone, tribes so on. And people of european decent seem to cause disruption as any other group. Lets see: multiple world wars, covert regime changes, lets build a weapon that can destroy entire islands, forced segregation, use dogs to attack peacefully demonstrating people walking...this list can go on. I dont complain to much about the fruits of empire. Just saying if you are going to generalize be honest and comprehensive not just selective: you know, like the feminist. Hey, i appreciate your support.

[+]FreakJoe -6 points-5 points-4 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, do you think you just contributed something to the discussion?

My point still stands, whether the motives were racial, ethnical or theological in nature.

[–]adrianjherman -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So you must be submitting( what islam actually stands for) ironically then, german guy(also not a race)?

Your responding, people are up voting. And even if they where down voting i would be "adding something".

Just because you are playing the part of the "racist german" reminding people of Germany's rascist history by calling a group of people with a faith and geographic home in common a race. Your playing up that germans know it all stereotype. No i don't think i will fault your fellow countrymen. Its just you. Think before you post. This is the internet.

[–]FreakJoe 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

The fact that your comment changed absolutely nothing about the way my comment is perceived makes me think that - no - you actually didn't add anything to the discussion. I hope everyone knows what I meant when I said "racial motives" even though - yes - neither Germans nor muslims are theoretically a race.

I also don't quite know what you're playing at in the first and third paragraph of your comment. I'm submitting and that is what Islam stands for? And somehow that is ironic?

It's quite adventurous to call me a "racist German" for simply making the mistake of referring to a group of people with similar characteristics as a race, when - as you quite pedantly pointed out - they actually aren't.

To top it off you call me a know-it-all when your orginal post's sole purpose was to point out how wrong my understanding of a race was without ever commenting on the content. Quite ironic, isn't it?

I don't even care if I continue to be downvoted. Typical hive-mind mentality at play here.

[–]adrianjherman 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You have admitted that you made a mistake but only as an after thought. As though that it is beside the point. You've decided you are the victim here instead of just acknowledging your fault and moving on. A simple edit for clarification or acknowledgement would have done. Being in an mra group does not mean you get to be a bigot or fall into those traps as long as they are pro men. That is the problem with feminist. Don't be a hypocrite: be pro people.

I like Germany. The little that i know of Deutschland and the people from those visiting the states or reading gives me a very positive view. To me it seems like germany, from a macro view, is a very process oriented people who know how to have a good time. There are some stereotypes that some live up to, but what group of people doesn't have those bums? My country is full of them, several of those idiots are being given ridiculous pulpits by the media(imbeciles who are just as much the root of problems as money) while they run for political executive of my country. What i know of the union laws of germany i love. Not exactly a kibbutz, but labor us well rep'ed. We could learn a lot from your country. So can we avoid escalation here with back and forth negativity? Ive stated what my point was. You've expressed your opinion of my response. Is there really more to say?

[–]FreakJoe 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'd be happy to move on without any negativity.

I'm sorry for anything aggravating I may have said. I acknowledge that I falsely referred to Germans and muslims as a race, but I do not believe that changes anything.

[–]adrianjherman 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your cool bro. I apologize, i recognize that my language was closer to going next level than yours. I appreciate you keeping it civil. Cheers.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

God, don't a few things jump out at you there!

„Was tut ihr hier?! Nehmt euch lieber ein Taxi!“

"What are you doing here?! You'd be better off taking a taxi!"

What right-thinking woman would even think of using public transport late at night?

‚Passt mal auf die Mädchen auf!’ hat der Sicherheitsmann noch gesagt.

'Look after the girls', said the security guard.

But things are ok now, they have male chaperones. I mean, random male chaperones; just some guys who've had the misfortune to get mugged and are now left looking after some strange women.

Where this has happened, European states have to take the strongest possible line with perpetrators or our cities risk becoming no-go areas for unaccompanied women, just like the countries the criminals left behind.

As for the usual feminist suspects who scream about every imagined slight but are silent about this: well, at least we know whom to ignore in future.

And finally:

‚Passt mal auf die Mädchen auf!’ hat der Sicherheitsmann noch gesagt. Das haben sie getan, bis viertel nach sechs Uhr morgens.

'Look after the girls', said the security guard. And they did, sitting with us until quarter past six in the morning.

Wow, so these wielders of patriarchal privilege - who are all part of the problem, according to most of the feminists who've spoken out so far - managed to sit with these women and watch out for them, through a night of chaos, and apparently didn't rape them; not even once. It's almost as if they were decent, normal, human beings.

[–]dungone 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

'Look after the girls', said the security guard. And they did, sitting with us until quarter past six in the morning.

Welp, looks like we've got to go with that male-only curfew so that these girls could sit out there with roving gangs of criminals until 6 in the morning.

It's true in a lot of ways. The clubs try to keep a high ratio of females to males, but it is probably the men that buy the most drinks for themselves and others which keep them profitable. In a lot of ways the clubs are there to sell the chance to have sex to males with the females they attract to the clubs.

[–]icallmyselfmonster 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is girls sneak in drinks for themselves these days, because there arent that many simps after the recession.

meghan murphy, founder and editor of feminist current, is a freelance writer and journalist. she completed a masters degree in the department of gender, sexuality and women’s studies at simon fraser university in 2012 and lives in vancouver, b.c. with her dog.

This is feminism.

The dog got a masters degree in gender studies as well? They must have trained it to hate white men.

1/5 Americans are feminists. Sucks that you can't generalise millions of people though, right?

Oh wait.

Some "insightful" comments from below the article:

Publish them, we should be able to see the nature of the beast and the truth. Too much sanitising and airbrushing of men's hatred going on all over the place. Women need to recognise that alot of men are full on psychopathic towards them and they can be policemen, doctors, school teachers etc.

Its not a few. 2 in 3 girls in UK schools experience sexist abuse and 1 in 3 experience sexist violence in the form of sexual assaults. 98% of men use sexist media that refers to females and female children as whores, cunts, skanks, ghetto bitches, etc. These are not terms of endearment, this is hate speech. 1/2 million women are attacked by their partners a year, so that is half a million hate attacks by men. Hate attacks on women by their partners went up by 31% this year alone, and by a similar percentage last year again. Police are reporting being overwhelmed by hate crime against women. This is not a few bad apples. 98% of your community using media that calls women by subhuman references is almost total sign up. Our government that was elected by a landslide as they call it didnt get close to this level of endorsement.

GREAT. Now lets ban all porn because it objectifies women and promotes sexist and essentialist stereotypes that men blindly applicate. I count on you Jeffry!

Women and female children are called cunts, sluts, whores, skanks, cum buckets, bitches etc in porn which in the West, 98% of men boast of using. Goebbels used mass objectification of Jews as vermin to drive violence against them, what difference is there in his use of media and male culture's use of media to describe women by hate speech?

Oh right, just women, oops, I mean TEENS, being choked, punched, gagged with a penis until they cry and vomit and beg for mercy, gang "banged", anally "punished", "rosebudded" where their anuses are literally falling out of their bodies (so sexy!), having their heads put in toilets and dog bowls, being tied up and tortured (let's call it play so it's not what it is! wee!), brutally raped (but only in a very realistic, but totally fake and fun! way)... nothing at all like being kicked.

[–]Enzemo 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I would love to see some evidence on that "98% of men use sexist media". Is that Anita Sarkessian's definition of sexist media (i.e, Everything), or actual sexist media?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have a feeling it would be the Sarkeesian variety.

[–]labrum 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ABC_Florida 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You’ve had your chance, bepenised ones. And you’ve blown it. What you’ve proven, time and time again, is that you cannot be trusted to behave yourselves after dark. In Germany, about 1000 men are reported to have arrived to the Cologne Cathedral area on New Years Eve, intending to sexually assault and mug as many women as possible.

TIL there are only 1000 men in Germany. All of them molester or rapist.

Bit if there is a curfew for all men, what makes them believe that someone who does not give a damn about that it is not okay to harass or rape women, will give a fuck about the curfew? And what about white knights or male police officers?

[–]dungone 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just a couple sentences later, it turns out it wasn't actually 1000 men.

we were surrounded by a group of between 20 and 30 men.

[–]ABC_Florida 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've read hundred, five hundred, thousand. Although it is hard for 1000 men to surround a handful of women/men.

[–]ARedthorn 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They aren't even all reposts or molestors-

Remember... 1000 drunk guys, only 112 incidents.

And those 112 incidents are assaults, thefts and sexual assaults combined.

TIL that even a crowd of 1000 drunk men organized into a massive 3-hour-long rape party can't rape more than a few dozen girls, and keep getting distracted stealing from them instead.

That... Or it wasn't a massive rape-party. I dunno.

[–]xVoluntasx 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is so funny. Would love to see a socioeconomic study of the entertainment service industries if those businesses had to primarily depend on women.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I would love to see that. People think that bars objective is to bring women in, wrong. Bars being women in, because women bring men, and men spend the money.

[–]adrianjherman 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. Whom is being exploited? Ever seen a dating service that charged women? Ladies night isnt about honoring independent women. Busiest day in the restaurant industry? Any guesses?

You know, after a while, you stop getting riled up when someone wants to reduce your personal freedom or want you dead for being the color you are, the gender you are etc. I am busy raising my kids, making a living for me and my family, simply getting shit done. My gf loves me, our children loves us and I don't see that life changing by legal means anytime soon. Trust me mra's, your life will be better if you just don't scratch certain itches. It's enough we have to consider and fight actual miscarriages of justice, why pay attention to the lunatics as well?

[–]dungone 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

That's a strawman. Actually, I'm responding to your comment.

People, because of this silly thing we call freedom of speech, will say stupid shit (I'm sure the article author is collecting that hate-click money right now). If I told you I wished for all people with hazel-colored eyes to be confined to an island, completely isolated with no means of communication, would that make you worry? Or would you disregard my opinion since it's absolutely ridiculous? I don't worry about what a few crazy people say. People can be racist, sexist or misandrist. I don't care. I'm more worried about the opinions of society as a whole.

[–]dungone 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

because of this silly thing we call freedom of speech, will say stupid shit

Yeah, that silly Mein Kampf was just one person's opinion, never hurt anybody. Better to just ignore it, I'd say.

I'm sure the article author is collecting that hate-click money right now

It's archived, so not from us.

would you disregard my opinion since it's absolutely ridiculous?

No, I'd call you out to your face that you're fucking ridiculous. Sort of like I'm doing now.

I'm more worried about the opinions of society as a whole.

Stupid ideas need to be called out if you don't want society as a whole to adopt them. I'm really not sure what you think this "free speech" idea is all about, but the whole point is that you respond to your opponents with words so as to avoid having to resolve societal problems through armed conflict later. And in case you haven't noticed, SJW's are extremely prevalent in our society and every single day there's a new injustice against men and boys.

[–]12431 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

When this blog post which alienates half the world population gets that kind of traction, send me a pm and I'll gladly fight the good fight with you, brother. Until then, there are actual men's rights issues that need attention. Such as genital mutilation, off the top of my head.

[–]dungone 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The reason why we have to deal with male genital mutilation is because no one had bothered to call a handful of individuals out on their bullshit (i.e. Kellog) back when there was a good opportunity to do so.

Waiting for something to become a festering century-long problem on a massive societal scale before you acknowledge it as worth some of your attention is, quite frankly, retarded.

[–]12431 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If there's even an opinion there, she might have just written the whole thing for the hate-clicks. That's my guess anyway.

And you do have to filter through some of the impressions you accumulate. If the rant of a lunatic is worthy of your attention, I can't make an argument against that. But I have other things to consider.

[–]AloysiusC 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you're largely correct, but I would advise you to hedge your bet. One of the common mistakes men make is to presume they're safe from injustice simply because they don't do anything wrong.

You may not see your freedom being taken away from you, but that doesn't mean you can take it for granted.

So what I'm saying is, work even harder and get even more shit done, with the purpose of guaranteeing your freedom in the future. Minimize your dependence on, well, anything. Create your own infrastructure wherever possible.

Men in particular need to go down that road.

[–]KrisK_lvin 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's enough we have to consider and fight actual miscarriages of justice, why pay attention to the lunatics as well?

You make a good point except for one crucial factor that you seem to have overlooked - it’s lunatics like these that are running the asylum.

While I agree that such an impractical and ludicrous suggestion as an all-male curfew is no more likely to be enacted in reality than is Donald Trump’s equally bizarre suggestion of banning all Muslims entering the US, if you had told me a year ago that men would actually be arrested on the New York transit system for manspreading, I would have laughed heartily.

But then it went into law, and then men have actually been arrested for the way they sit on public transport.

And while Meghan’s suggestion to have an all-male curfew sounds wildly implausible, just think that Trump, quite seriously, could the POTUS by this time next year.

I think it’s you that needs to think again.

[–]Savor_The_Flavor 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nailed it. 100% correct.

[–]baskandpurr 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While I think this idea is 100% ridiculous and quite probably dangerous, it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to my life. It would last as long as the first weekend when all those women would go to the clubs and have to buy their own drinks. They would be completely safe from drunken males but they also wouldn't be able to start any fights to pump their ego.

[–]BigAl265 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe we should all be round up and put in some kind of camp where we can sit and reflect on our rapist instincts and our male privilege. Someplace we can really concentrate on our disgusting behavior. A concentration camp, if you will.

[–]Wargame4life 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

if that did actually happen the hilarity is that only inside the camps would there be electricity and working sewers/plumbing and thriving manufacturing. outside would be a crumbling wasteland.

[–]YuenHsiaoTieng 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. In fact we could call these camps "cities." Feminists can be free to have their utopia someplace far away from our camps.

[–]ARedthorn 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Wait... What?

1000 men gather in one place with the goal to sexually assault as many women as they can...

And only manage 121?

If they're all such monsters, they're some of the least frightening monsters of all time.

[–]adrianjherman 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If one of those female was someone you valued you would not be so callous. The author of the article was why over the top. But the losers molesting those fems need to be dealt with. This is how society loses its standards: by treating stuff like this as punchline. Just my opinion. Scuse my manspaining.

[–]ARedthorn 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not being callous. I'm not saying that 112 incidents is nothing, or that those girls don't matter... But:

112: That's all assaults, sexual assaults and thefts combined.

Having worked as casino security for 6 years: given 1000 drunk people in the same place for several hours, 112 incidents is really pretty good.

If those 1000 people were actually an organized rape-mob as described, I'd expect closer to 1000 rapes in 3 hours... At least 500.... Not 112 (including non-sexual assaults and thefts).

[–]Grailums 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I just pretty much found out that the following entry has to be "approved for commentation" by the person who runs it so it'll never see the light of day:

"Despite this being prime clickbait rage to garner income there is one crucial thing that Meghan has failed to address:

Women need to have a curfew as well, under this idea.

Keep in mind her credentials of earning a Master's degree in women's studies does not lend any credit to her understanding of sociology or psychology, nor does that give her any authority to comment on the unique conditions Germany is currently facing. Saying that "all men need a curfew" because the perpetrators of this act in Germany come from a country that, in terms of social progress, are about 300 to 500 years behind most of the first world countries shows just how naive and ignorant she actually is.

Take this entry for example: "There are solutions: a feminist revolution; real consequences for men who rape, harass, and abuse women; ensuring women are financially independent and that they are able to leave abusers safely; a cultural shift that addresses male entitlement, porn culture, and the objectifying male gaze; an end to masculinity and, more broadly, gendered socialization that says men are actors whereas women are passive recipients of men’s “action” — that is, the idea that men are to “get” sex from women, which positions coercion as a normal and expected part of heterosexual relations… All of that."

There are real consequences for men who rape, harass, and abuse women. It is called prison. In prison there is a HUGE amount of male rape that happens there but, as Meghan has demonstrated, an "eye for an eye" mentality should exist, right? But what about female rapists? What about women who are considered "adults" who rape children? Male children specifically. Do you think she'd agree that female rapists should even be punished? Probably not because somehow, someway, that 12 year old boy just was too alluring and seductive. He deserved to get raped in Meghan's mind.

Women are financially independent in the first world. Why do you think we are having such an economical crisis right now? Men are expected, even by feminists, to be the "breadwinners" because you surely do not see one, stout warrioress for women's rights such as Meghan to argue the archaic alimony and child support laws that cripple men financially while supporting females despite women easily making just as much money as men do. I find it endearing that she believes "porn culture" dehumanizes women when women get paid easily 5 to 10 times more than their male counterparts in those movies. She doesn't approve of it so it must be banned!

So let's end masculinity shall we? I mean we haven't been doing that for the past 20 years by sticking all of our male children on adderall and other ADHD medications because, god-forbid, a boy has energy during the day in the classroom and may just learn differently. No. We have to end masculinity. We must reinforce the idea men are monsters and do our best to ensure that we castrate men at such an emotional level that instead of 40,000+ men killing themselves each year we get that number HIGHER. Because for all the issues women face, the terrible, terrible issues Meghan has outline, only 5,000 kill themselves a year.

I guess men just get so tired of all the privilege they have they just decide to kill themselves over it."

Like women are going to actually be able to enforce a curfew or do they expect men to from their homes. Really, women are terrified of men, but if we tell them they have to stay inside they will. Makes sense only to a feminist.

[–]derpylord143 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What do they plan to do about this thing called the homeless.. like i get that the majority of the homeless are men so women are generally sheltered from the issue (god forbid they be on the streets - oh the horror) but like what'll they do, throw them in prison? you know this idea in the uk MAY actually make the situation BETTER for a lot of men... (it would give ways out for the domestically abused as well... just stay out after dark a few times... - and since we dont normally mix the seriously bad criminals with "petty criminals" such as serial shoplifts dont get put in with rapists, most of them wouldnt/shouldnt get raped), plus joblessness would decrease considerably as there would be a huge increase in building contracts (the amount of prisons needed to hold them all would be huge) and the prison staff to look after them... (heh hit the feminists where it hurts, make them HELP MEN), i dont know the situation on the homeless or german prisons but if they are like the UK's then the benefits are potentially there as well..

This gave me a chuckle. Reading Ms Murphy's thoughts over coffee before joining my lovely wife, our son and our completely rational daughter in law working on renovating their home. After a busy day we'll put the grand-kids to bed and have that rare meal together eating and drinking and talking about the madness in the world and how lucky we are not to be part of it.

Head in the sand? Maybe. But I'm over caring about what the truly insane have to say. And you'll not find a holder of a "Masters degree in the Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies" in my family. I truly laughed out loud when I saw that was her qualifications.

  • Got in a car accident? I hope the ambulance service has staffed up on women to cart your crippled ass to the hospital because all us guys are at home getting laid.

while these women were being molested where were the white knights, of either sex? Sure accounts say that many of the women fought back while trying to run away but what about just helping out of decency or socialized gender training.

Also, this is an example of why i dont care for feminist: this is an obvious zero sum situation. She would love to paint mens freedom of movement as some sort of entitlement. The same freedom that she has. She wants to remove our agency. The gain for women is not our absence but power over mens actions because it would not stop at a curfew. Of course she knows this is all fantasy, she stated as much, but it emphasizes that this is not about equity and equality. Its about frustrated women who dont want to share. Its about "princesses" socialization. How they believe they are entitled and expectations are not being met. She makes a point of how she is only afraid of males. Males and our weapons. Does it occur to her that men are afraid of other men which is why their are weapons of so many sorts. Many of us may walk with real confidence or swagger but we are mostly always aware of the males around us and the potential threat, real or imagined(mostly), they have. This is especially true for those who make it a habit to carry weapons. Feminist always using "this:this::that" process. Ladies need to put on their big girl pants if they want to be in the game. Its a scary world out there with lots of individuals and individual motivations.

You know how we're always like "feminists can't take a joke, it's just a joke."? We're not like that at all. Ever. We are also better than them; we wouldn't ever do the things we say they do just to spite them.

The thing is, men are going to be needed to enforce it. That means certain men are going to have to be excluded from the curfew. I'm sure they'll be able to screen for male feminist lapdogs just fine.

I agree with the article. We should have a curfew for all men at night... except for the police, firemen, ambulance techs.. factory workers, power plant employees, security personnel, city works staff, plumbers, electricians, road workers, taxi drivers, garbage men, city inspectors, signal techs, long haul drivers, delivery men, snow removal crews... wait a minute, feminists take all this stuff for granted.

I pity today's feminist. Women in the west already have more rights then men, with laws, government and school programs, job quotas and social conventions all favoring women. So the only way to stay relevant is to spread lies and hatred. Here, she proudly stereotypes all men for the actions of a few with bigotry that would make any racist blush. More proof that political correctness simply means hating different people.

[–]mammothleafblower 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a brilliant idea! Get all the men off the streets so only women will be out. It's not like violent rapists would break the law & be out after curfew knowing there'd be no men on the streets to protect the women. Gun control logic never fails to impress.
