When I was divorced the first time, I went crazy dating. I loved how easy it was to meet women, and felt I had been missing out being in a long 23 year unhappy marriage. I went in and out of relationships, got into one that was three years with a much younger woman with young children. After her, I decided I would not date anyone that young again, it just doesn't work. This last relationship, she was my age, really pretty, great personality, and I was deeply in love with her. I wasn't with her children though, and it was because I didn't try. The youngest had tantrums, violent ones, and the older son in his twenties, stayed in his room playing video games all night, slept all day. I married her after three years, thinking that we were working together. And almost exactly after the marriage, things changed. She no longer wanted to give any consequences to the youngest for being disrespectful, and violent whenever he didn't get his way. If I said something, she'd turn on me....when I suggested many times, the boys help out around the house, even cleaning up after themselves, she wouldn't budge. Refused to allow them, or make them contribute in any way. She herself wouldn't pick up her own messes. Leave tissues on the floor for the dogs to rip up and spread all over the carpet. Holes in the youngest's bedroom wall from being angry not getting his way. The last straw, for me, was when she told me she really didn't have any emotional energy to give me, or anyone else other than her children.

We are now divorced. And thank you to those in here giving me advice on the quit claim agreement....I have it! She expected "her share" of the equity even though I owned all this outright, before even dating her. I'd have felt better paying her, had she actually helped around here, even with the cleaning. But it's over, and I couldn't be happier.

I am so burned out. Burned out by bratty children who feel entitled and don't feel they have to be grateful for anything. In fact, CPS became involved as they were transitioning over to the new boyfriend's house. The youngest has refused to go to school for two years, has tantrums if he's pressured. Obviously I would have handled it different than her, she just left him home. The social worker interviewed me, wanted to know what the parenting was like. I was not on my ex wife's side, I thought they needed some consequences. However, I was on her side for this and stuck to the narrative that it's a mental health issue and that she's doing her best. I didn't want to be responsible for them taking her son away, I wanted her to have that responsibility all on her own. And now it's on record that I'm out of the picture and they have her new address as the main one. I also new my motives would have been wrong, had I gone into the whole frustrations I had living in that home, watching this poor parenting going on and not being able to do anything about it.

Venting aside, I am again so burned out. That whole CPS thing was an unfair situation for me to be in, I felt. The whole situation together was unfair. The peace and quiet in the house is so sweet I can actually taste it. I have zero interest in women anymore. No more will I date young pretty single moms, or single moms period. I believe most are looking for a man, to make raising their children easier. And at the very least, take a piece of the man's pie, half or more is better. I was doing so well, until I plopped myself into the middle of her mess, helped her, married her with good intentions.... I loved her. I have no feelings for her anymore, and alot of indifference which I am surprised at myself for having. There is a woman in Florida whom I am seeing. She contacted me almost immediately after separating. We see each other every other month, either she flies here, or I fly there. Between you and me, I'm even having trouble wanting to be in even this kind of relationship. I am wondering, if anyone else is there, or has been in this club.
