Hard to say. I’ve read from a lot of our stories they’ll often see their affair dissipate after some time and try to start picking to see if they can get back at you as their backup plan. This hasn’t been my experience but I’ve heard it often enough it seems to be a common trope. I’d be wary and stay vigilant. You have nothing to gain but much to lose by engaging.

Save the emails just in case you go back to court but do your best to ignore them and don't ever respond. Don't let them bother you.

Only communicate with her about your son and only to the extent you need to for co-parenting.

Logic does not apply here so don't bother to try to understand her reasons for doing this or anything else. She's going though an emotional crisis and there are no reasons or at least none that are logical.
