Most important thing is to figure out if your codependent, were you happy if your wife was happy? Did your wife’s happiness dictate if you were happy? If so, you’re codependent! I’ve updated now for 3 1/2 years and have no steady, it’s not that I don’t want, it’s just that I realize it takes a long time to find that perfect person, I got closer to a year ago, but she wanted an open relationship and I just can’t go for that. if you find your codependent, do yourself a favor and stay alone for two or three years, break that codependency, I’m so much an outdoor cat now, I cannot imagine a woman being at my place every day of the week! Can see having a long-term relationship with somebody and they come over three or four times a week, though, but not every day at least not now, my code dependency has been broken! And that’s a good thing. if you’re lonely? Hang out with friends more often, the hobbies that you like doing? Do them more often! Go to the gym and feel better about yourself, learn to love yourself before you love anybody else.

I was at a bar Friday night by myself and had lunch by myself yeaterday at a restaurant. There are days where I really enjoy my own company and solo outings. Other days, it can feel a bit depressing. I’ve been living by myself for almost 10 months for the first time ever. It’s definitely an adjustment.

Next try taking a solo international trip to a country with a different culture and language. Japan and Taiwan are great choices for your first time. Not only will you learn about a new place but you will learn a lot about yourself and how you react when out of your comfort zone.

Also being alone makes you more approachable for meeting other travelers and locals. The best part is being a selfish bastard and doing exactly what you want when you want. I've been doing this for 12 years now and have made some of the best memories of my life, even into my 50s. IMO every man should try this at least once in their life.

Winning. I have grown to really enjoy eating alone at restaurants on the half time I don't have my kids. I head straight for the bar and order dinner there, usually can watch some sports while I eat and almost always strike up a conversation with people nearby that is more interesting than anything my ex ever said to me.

After a day alone, missing my stbxw and especially my son, I feel depressed up to the point I feel my life is worth nothing anymore. I feel angry, then depressed. Hoping for better days.
