I just ended my divorce two days ago and I am in a similar situation. Don’t end anything your way if I understand what you mean. Don’t do that. Instead talk to your lawyer and get whatever modifications you need to get so you don’t have to pay. If that didn’t work, depending on how old your kids are, I would write to them or send them a video message explaining that since you can’t sustain this no longer that you are leaving the country. Send it after you leave. Honestly, in this country once you are in the grips of the legal system, you’re basically fucked and it is a modern form of slavery. I am convinced of this. My divorce basically ruined me and I’m almost 50 years old. Now I have a choice. Do I get back on the saddle? Find another job do the whole thing again or do I just pack up and start fresh somewhere else? My son is only five years old so I have to make a choice. I don’t know the full details of your circumstance but it’s something for you to think about.

Brother I paid 5k for almost two years, and basically waited out the crazy shit until her lawyer fired her. Then we struck and set a final date, which terrified her, and got her to sign a decent deal to avoid all that. I took all the debt, but got 50/50 with everything else. Child support is now less than half of what I was paying. Your kids need you. Quit fighting the person, and fighting your demons, and work on being the best dad you can be. They’ll see what’s up.

If you have no access to them? Well then I’m in agreement with the rest. Get out the country and live your best life. You need a change of scenery

It all fucking stops at that point. I’ll walk into work, let all the employees go (my competitors would have picked them up within a week), fry the servers, and go to jail. In return she and her new man can start with no house, cause that’ll get repo’d, my kids will have no dad as I’ll be in jail, and she’ll never see a fucking cent out of me. I meant it 💯% too. It was my biggest bargaining chip as she told me “everything in my life is perfect except you!”. And yeah, I was ready to burn it the fuck all down.

My lawyer says I'm going to get fucked over because I have no place to stay and I can't have my kids in a hotel. She also says I can't request my taxes to be modified because my soon to be ex wife claimed all my kids as dependents. I was cheated on, lied to assaulted and stolen from by my ex. She's been living in the house and I've been paying her CS. She refused me access to my home to get my things despite a court order and the police being present. Her parents moved into the house after I was kicked out with a fake TRO. I'm at my wits end and there is nothing left worth fighting for because I keep getting screwed despite being the one who did everything right.

There are other ways to go about it. I was in a similar distressing situation. Thankfully it’s all sorted out. Don’t do something you might want to regret.
