It's still fresh for me and I felt completely blindsided. We were together for 13 years and laughed every day together. Between me having some drinks and her getting on that GLP-1, fate just stepped in and noped our relationship. Now she is working out (I couldn't get her to even go for a walk with me or lift with me) but now 40lbs. lighter she's having the time of her life. Good for her, bad for me.

I will say this we have a great relationship, which might be why this is so hard. Because I'd be alone on Thanksgiving, she is going to meet me halfway to go to Cracker Barrel because that's just the kind of woman she is. I almost hate that she's such a good woman because it makes the loss all the more palatable. She's even going easy on me with the financial aspect, only asking for some cash from the savings account, I mean it's sizeable but she could be asking for way more.

The other thing that I can't stop obsessing about is her finding a new man, that would rip me a new a-hole. I haven't really had an appetite or been sleeping, the usual suspects. I told her I'm going to change some things up and win her back, all she really says is never say never but I've moved on with my life (not with another man, she just moved back to her hometown with her family and friends).

I think about her all day and can't even get a reprieve with the little sleep I do get because I dream about her. Brothers who have made it to the other side, does it ever get better? Feels like a fever dream that will never go away.
