Definitely. At the time of cheating, when I first confronted my ex, the 'reasons' she could give for her behavior were : 1) I made my life all about her, and it made her feel pressured and 2) that I had gotten really sick twice, and she thought I might die and leave her with nothing.

Obviously, that didn't fly, so she had to rewrite reality to tell others, and keep repeating it until she believed it.

It's a good lesson to all guys. They can't just say "ehh I'm bored so I wanted a divorce (well to anyone not their girlfriends at least).

So we get...voila. This stuff. A few fights...thirty fights , a year of drama, four years of drama, whatever amount it takes, to sufficiently wreck the china shop enough before they hit you with the "ahh shucks, everything is broken, I'll have to divorce 🤧😪😥" it's the tried-and-true play.

There are two sides to every argument. I'm in a position where I work full time as a nurse, and do most of and usually all of the household chores and cooking and child rearing. I've begged my husband for years to please help out but he doesn't. I'm at my wits end but just cannot keep going like this as we have 3 kids under 10 and I'm tapped out. I don't want to divorce I want to separate so he can see how hard it is running a home and 3 kids alone. I'm not a man, I shouldn't be on the men sight but I wanted to see the other side and all it is is " my wife is crazy "..I have nothing to do with it. You sure about that??

I always wondered why my ex got even angrier when I wouldn’t give that anger back to her. If I snapped and yelled back then she would be “justified” for her behavior. Then I’d be “the narcissist”, which is a term she loved to throw around at everyone.

Yup, good to know its not just me. I remember the moment I realized this was like getting hit by a bus. She was going off on me and I tried to express my feelings and the fact that she constantly responded with saying I’m gaslighting, not listening, toxic, etc. I even apologized for petty issues and did my best to fix everything she said i did wrong. Finally I got so frustrated I said I feel more like a parent in our relationship than a spouse. She absolutely loved that lol she took it and ran with it. I realized at that point I cant talk to her or anyone openly because they’re waiting for me say the wrong things so now if I talk to her at all I watch every single word. Which is incredibly painful because I really thought she was someone I could be myself with and tell anything to at one point, know I’m on here 3 in the morning ranting lol this sucks
