Fuck it. I’ve been staying in motels for weeks now, trying to get my own place decent enough that my son would actually want to spend time there with me. Rent prices are absurd - the only places I can afford are tiny, gross or in bad areas. Have reached out to dozens of people. I can barely get a person to call me back on a rental let alone meet me for a showing. I got stood up by a realtor today. No-showed to the viewing and then ghosted me on Zillow. A new fucking low.

I’ve bounced around to a few Motel 6’s and I think there was a Quality Inn near the airport mixed in there. It’s all blurring together. A few nights ago I left work close to midnight and drove half an hour to the wrong hotel. A hotel I was staying at 3 days prior. I checked out of my most recent hotel this morning with all my shit and nothing lined up for tonight. Gonna max out my cards soon if this continues much longer. I’ve spent a few nights in my car. Not as easy as you’d think because all neighborhoods require resident overnight parking passes. Could sleep in the office but can’t risk someone coming in early and me not waking up on time.

I’m open to suggestions at this point. Do I pony up and get another hotel? Sleep in my office? The car? Bus stop bench? In a sleeping bag on the beach? Climb to the top of a tree and set up a hammock hidden within the branches? Should I find an alley with a large metal trash can and start a fire in it and stand around it all night like a hobo? Should I hide inside a tent in a camping goods store like in Saved By The Bell? Should I not sleep and just drive my car in a continuous loop around the LA freeways, stopping only for gas, until I have to go to work tomorrow?

Getting pretty late so I gotta figure this out.
