This sounds like I am reading a page in the middle of the book and a page at the end of the book, but have missed the other 400 pages.

My mother did this to us and still does against my dad. But we realised long long ago what she did and now honestly we are disgusted by her behaviour.

If she is making up shit, not only will they soon realise it but also find that behaviour annoying soon enough.

Continue to treat the adult children as adults. The motorcycle ride is over and done with. I think it was a dumb idea but nothing to get divorced over.

Don’t play the “pick me” dance with the kids. Continue to be a supportive father to all. I wouldn’t make excuses about it.

The divorce sob stories to family members get old very quick (I just dealt with one). Just show them you’re the father you’ve always been and demonstrate how to roll with the punches. Act chill about it and don’t talk about the ex wife.

I agree with others that I’m guessing she’s hiding a lot of bad behaviors. But I’m having a hard time understanding why you would give another woman a ride on your motorcycle? How would you react if she came to you and wanted to ride a motorcycle with another dude?

Sounds like you’re leaving out some pretty vital information here. It’s leaning very one sided. Rarely do people leave their marriages because one partner gives a ride to a friend. Has she been nagging you to be a better partner for years? Was she unhappy? Were you unhappy? Has she suspected you of cheating before? Have you cheated before? Do you watch a lot of porn? Did she have someone else? Were you ever physically, verbally or emotionally abusive? Did you ignore her a lot? I mean? What was the deal? I feel like you know this post doesn’t have enough content for anyone to decide if you’re the asshole. And that makes me think that maybe you are the asshole. Anyone who makes themself sound this innocent usually has something to hide or is incapable of holding themselves accountable or taking responsibility. There’s ALWAYS more to the story.

Sounds like a bs story from her. Take it as good fortune to be happy down the road. If you have lots assets gets. Lawyer. Don’t. Let her stay on the offensive. Start taking actions. Don’t move out. Call your family and let them know.

If you’ve really done nothing more than this and the marriage is in a bad place, it could be she’s projecting her bad behaviour towards you.

There’s a lot more going on her side. I’d look into who she might be cheating on you with. If you’re in a no-fault jurisdiction maybe don’t bother and just drop it.

Get a good lawyer and get on the front foot. Just make sure the one who won’t speak to you knows you haven’t given up.

Regardless of the mechanics, it sounds like you would be divorcing anyway. You ou might actually be better off in the long run

Damn. You didn't do anything wrong if you asked and the wife said it was ok....but there are a million "oks" when it comes to women. How was the state of your marriage prior? Did you take your wife for rides? Still do things to spend time with her? If things were lacking between you 2 dhe could have seen it as a threat or really believed something was going on. On the other hand if your marriage was solid, you were connecting and investing in each other and she pulled this she's either paranoid, depressed, or had been checked out. Maybe she saw you happy out with another woman and missed that, was envious or whatever. Did you ever talk to her about it when she was rational? You just said OK instead of getting to the bottom? I mean I really fucked up in my marriage, cheated, made up shot to be angry at her and left at one point buy I came back around and fought to fix things. I know she saw me out with female coworkers on business and my enthusiasm thre coupled with a lack of enthusiasm with her definitely hurt her self esteem even though she didn't know about the cheating. I'm only asking because you don't say what things were like, and you didn't try yo figure it out or fight for her? When we slack in our relationships and stop communicating people, men and woman get left to their own assumptions and full in the blanks. Your kids will figure things out for themselves regardless of what you say. Just focus on being a man of character and that should speak for itself. There's a lot of hate against women here but truth is we all hurt and we all lie regardless of our sex. Some times a bike ride isn't just a bike ride. Sometimes we stopped being the people were and one day as a result so did they.
