OP, this post is pretty funny and exactly how sane people feel about it. It's crazy that these transparent dipshits were able to finesse themselves into having this large of a measure of imagined authority. It's ironic because these toilet-dwelling cult leaders like to peddle the idea that women are pliable "NPCs" that are uniquely incapable of independent thought, when men's actions would show that they're very, very malleable. I can understand it tricking teen boys, but the way men in their late 20s, 30s, and 40s are taken by this bullshit is insane. They just REALLY need to position themselves "above" others because they feel woefully inadequate, and these RP grifters groom them into feeling more inadequate for the actual people they are, but while also telling them that they still are better than the "others" (see: minorities, women, left leaning people). All of this combined with the basic life tips they use to draw them in, I guess makes for an intoxicating cocktail of emotionally immature, life-ruining advice.

In late high school sex is a common topic of conversation. Many boasts, many more lies. A lot of young men become suddenly very aware that they have no fucking idea how to talk to women, so they google it and find wankers. Charismatic wankers. And high school age people aren't exactly known for their rigorous fact checking, and in fact tend to take words as seriously as they are spoken in proximity to a Lamborghini.

The appeal should be very obvious. Unfortunately it depends on the character of the boy to decide if they want to deceive and manipulate women to sleep with them.

Different reasons for different people but one big reason I see is having a traumatic experience with a woman can cause men to hate/blame women for their problems as a defense mechanism. Let’s say a girl cheats on you it’s easy for you to then say that she left you because women are dumb, too emotional, liars etc. Or that she left you for the more “alpha” man and therefor you need to become that alpha masculine dude so it doesn’t happen again. And if they are lonely and don’t get any girls then influencers convince them they are not being alpha or masculine enough and that that’s the source of their problems. Influencers like Andrew Tate prey on insecure and lonely men by ridiculing them and calling people losers and “brokies”. Then he sells them the “solution” to their problems which is to become a “real” man. He shows off his money and girls which attracts young men who want that life and therefor they start following his teachings. But the funny part is the money he is flexing on people with, he made through taking advantage of lonely, insecure men through webcams and what he’s now doing in hustlers university.

I got clickbaited by a video titled something like "What all women secretly want" and before I know it I am getting told I will never be Loved and how I need to do all sorts of tricks to get basic respect and loyalty. And how your self-worth depends on female validation.

They radicalize you by making you feel like a victim and that the world treats you unfairly, redpill hurts men and then those hurt men feel justified in objectifying women. That's at least how I see it.

Was not a fan of Islam, though.

The RP guys with muscles say that they are all natural, or natty, and have worked out for X amount of years without any breaks, but they are not. Many of them are on HGH, PED, and gear/steroids, but won't say it because they will be outted as frauds and will lose a lot of money.

I never got as far as Andrew Tate but I was definitely in it for a while. My first relationship had ended horribly and I felt like my ex got away without feeling any remorse or being held accountable in any way—I just didn’t understand why. Then the Red Pill came along. When everyone else told me to get over it they seemed to have different answers and I clung to that. Wasted 2 years on hatred.

I knew I was getting radicalized the entire time. Somewhere in me I knew. I knew it was wrong because deep down I still wanted to be a good man, even if that meant I’d get no girls. So I got out with the help of some good friends.

But yea. The allure was my own anger.

In order to be successful at dating (man or woman) these things are critical:

Opportunity: A lifestyle that presents you with frequent interactions with the people you're attracted to.
Personality: A certain minimum amount of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
Looks: A certain minimum level of physical attractiveness.

Most men who at least considered redpill ideology had a deficit in one or more of these three things and it made dating extremely hard. I know that for me, when I was a teenager I was very physically unattractive (looks) and lacked understanding of what women really wanted from me in dating (so emotional intelligience).

That meant repeated rejections and the resulting fear that I would never be able to attract anyone led me to consider the redpill, because at least they were giving me information that was different to the generic and worthless "just be yourself" advice I was getting from most people

Ultimately that's what drives anyone to anything, they have a problem that creates fear/insecurity and are seeking some way to solve it, and if not that, cope with it. That's how any belief or behavior happens.

Fortunately for me I found better advice that wasn't so self destructive or woman hating.

But to put it simply I was looking for solutions and the redpill had some that worked but most did not. So I moved on.

There’s a whole part of red pill called MGTOW. That’s the part that appealed to me. Never dating again. Traumatic end to a traumatic relationship got me there. The left of politics is unkind to men, the right wants you to be like some golden area man that never existed, the red pill offered some reasons as to why things are the way they are. Actually talking to men’s real problems instead of denying them. They are wrong about alot but they aren’t wrong in their compassion. There’s a real answer for you, my gift to you, you didn’t deserve it in the way you asked for it though.

... It was never really the vids or anything like that for me... It was a series of events that turned me off, and I'm still pretty not "into" the idea of being with a woman romantically or sexually.

About 8-10 years ago I caught wind that my ex of whom I have two children with,was due to be wed back then.. anyways she was planning on marrying me for the sole reason of divorcing me for the sole purpose of securing alimony after I "reached my potential".

It was also revealed to me that she was cheating on me during the second pregnancy. While she was in labor with my child. She was with the other guy. She lied to me, stating she was watching a film with her brother. We never got married. I pay child support. I get visitation with my kids.

I don't really remember the exact details, I did a lot of partying to forget as much of those years of my life as possible.

My friend was murdered 7 years ago. Long story short, he entered a new relationship with a woman. He didn't know she was married. Her husband shot him while he was getting a haircut.

There's other stuff.. I don't really wanna get into.. but yeah. Those two ordeals kinda fucked me up.

I got into it before youtube redpillers were even a thing. I think it was actually the redpill subreddit that I was led to first and it just seemed to validate all of the most cynical doubts and beliefs I had.

I wanted to have power. I saw many of my fellow dudes having girlfriends, wives, having lots of sex and me? Nothing. And I also saw some of the problems this guys faced (infidelity, jealousy) and I wanted to find a way to not only avoid it but also come out victorious because, FOR ME (and this mindset kind of still prevails), MEN CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE.

People seek out simple answers to complex questions and comforting answers to upsetting questions.

There was an overarching, pervasive myth that somehow nestled into many people's brains that kindness begets attraction, so many boys/men naively assumed that if they were polite and inoffensive that it would reap benefits with women. Either they developed friendships (which, obviously that's what comes from being benign?) or they felt rejected because their crushes never seemed to reciprocate.

Whatever.

Some resentment brews and suddenly you wind up with people who decide that being a dick gets you women (rather than simply being confident, and some dicks are confident). Grifters online lean into some of this adding spice in the form of getting muscled, being tall, pseudo scientific abuse of statistics that don't actually exist or say what they claim, looks-maxing, PUA type stuff, the internet, etc.

The easy answers that confirm our existing biases will always be more intuitively appealing than the hard answers that force us to confront ourselves and try to change for the better. You may have benefited from being a RP definition of alpha and seeing through that guise because clearly things are more complicated than a basic formula that applies to most women. Once the veil is pierced, it's easier to reject.

Some people here still buy into a lot of it. But they at least see some issue, which is a start. My big start was just meeting more people, making more friends, learning how to interact with people more naturally, etc. The more women I got to know, the less insufferable I became. I'm still insufferable but slightly more bearable than I used to be.

But the timing wasn't right for me to fall for RP. I was already through the other side before it went more mainstream. But I could have, particularly had it come up while in high school.

and it still sucks. and even though it was not a life we wanted, the money the thots the excess, it still looks a whole lot more fun than being a loser.

IN anycase i cant love or trust anymore. The time for that has passed. Now I vet for the exact things they vet for _ job security and success. I am going the arranged marriage route
