Have a look at MGTOW and Red pill subreddits and it will shock and terrify you. I've never seen so much hate, in a lot of posts men are talking about women as if they were shit under their shoes rather than human beings. Reddit truly hates women.

I can't believe said subs are still up when they are advocating for every kind of abuse on the planet. I've had to stop looking because it stared giving me panic attacks.

I can’t think through the scenario where murdering a baby is part of a flashback. Unless it was a flashback to murdering foreign babies during a war? Because that’s the ok kind of baby killing that men do all the damned time.

Barring that, how would that even happen? Answer: it didn’t. The “shell shock” is just a plain ole everyday rage murder, and hiding the body is just plain entitlement.

I read a post that called for “the worst thing a relative has done” or worst family secret. And most were about grandpas/uncles/dads raping, killing, abusing and incest. Like so many of their grandpas molested their mothers or other younger members of the family.

They didn’t get locked up. The family just kept the secret hidden.

Omg when I read "men these days respect when women say no..." I had a huge laugh.

All the women men accuse of playing hard to get are women desperately but nicely trying to escape from a man's advances without getting murdered. Men just can't accept a woman they want doesn't want them so they create these imaginary scenarios of "she's just pretending not to want me! She wants me to keep stalking her!

Honestly, after I found FDS the rest of Reddit just makes me so annoyed. I find myself not wanting to scroll past this sub because there’s always some underlying misogamy in posts or comments in every other post. FDS and FDS adjacent subs are literally my only safe spaces.

Yes, Reddit does hate women. I have the same feeling whenever I open the app and read the comments on news stories about crime.

Lately the biggest thing that grinds my gears has been reading people’s reactions to the Chris D’elia lawsuit— something I’ve been following closely for the past week— and seeing that 90% of the commenters are men (or pickmes) claiming the underage girl who D’elia stat-raped, manipulated, and solicited child pornography from was lying and made the whole story up.

I’ve read the official complaint (pdf of the lawsuit is easy to find online) and what he did to her was absolutely heinous. Yet here we are on reddit and all these men are going off about how “all” 17-year-old girls sleep with old men (?!) and throw themselves at pervert comedians because they “want to get famous” and how D’elia should have “covered his tracks better” and how “unfair” the whole situation was and how Jane Doe (and all of her fellow victims— there are a ton of teen girls he did this to!) deserved to go to jail herself for “fabricating” her assault, harassment and abuse.

Some folks claim that this comedian’s fans have a cult mentality and that’s why they stick up for the creep, but it’s obvious to me from spending time on Reddit this week that it has nothing to do with the guy’s fans; it’s just because it’s mostly men who like him. Men don’t have to be indoctrinated into a cult in order to develop a misogynistic attitude, because our society is a cult of patriarchy in itself; hurting and preying on women/sticking up for other men who hurt and prey on women is just the direction most men will naturally lean in.

The selfishness and delusion of males, even when they aren’t the ones committing a crime, is truly dangerous to all women and it feels sometimes like the entire male population is just calling themselves out, repeatedly. As though we needed another reason to be careful around them and even avoid them? It’s insane and it only ever gets worse.

Barring FDS, this is not a healthy place to hang out. I should have taken it as a serious red flag that my ex spent all his free time lurking Reddit. Too many MGTOW subs where men teach each other (ironically) that every problem is caused by women, and the solution to every problem is also women. If they're "going their own way," then why are we all they talk about...

I logged on today because I am seriously considering deleting my entire account and quitting Reddit permanently. I did this many years ago because I was sick of the casual misogyny and racism. I only became active on here again about a month ago to join FDS.

I feel like I have gained some useful information from FDS and I have shared some advice that has helped other women. However, I have honestly been overwhelmed by the amount of memes from social media, screenshots of misogyny on Reddit, and horrific news articles about violence against women that are constantly posted on FDS.

I think it is important for women to have spaces to discuss these issues and to vent because living in a patriarchal society where misogyny is tolerated and even defended is a nightmare, especially for women who are fully aware of the extent of the problem.

However, with all of that said, as a sexual assault survivor, I often feel traumatized and extremely stressed by many of the posts I see on FDS. Scrolling through and reading many of the post titles alone often makes me feel upset because a significant percentage are related to screenshots of memes, Reddit posts, and news stories related to violence against women.

I joined FDS to learn about strategies to improve my life, specifically to take control of my dating life. Although I appreciate the FDS sub, I think too many posts on here deviate from the description of FDS that is noted in the sidebar. If I wanted to see all of these posts about misogyny, I would just look on other Reddit subs or social media. However, I purposefully avoid social media and limit my intake of the news because I do not want to see misogynistic content in any context. So, I may have to quit Reddit and just stick to the FDS website.

For the sake of my peace and mental health, I mostly check this sub and few others related to hobbies and interests. I try my best to avoid my peace being disturbed by scrotism because I'm very sensitive and reading awful sh*t takes a toll on me and my flawless skin needs to remain that way.

I feel you. It's awful pput of here.
