Does anyone else go through waves of “craving” a man?

I don't crave a man. I crave what I imagine a man to be and bring to my life.

The second I take a look at actual men the craving goes away.

I used to feel that way when I related my worth as a women to being of service to a man and being in a relationship.

When I 'found out' that I am allowed to be happy and single by choice, this problem disappeared like snow before the sun.

I would chalk it up to boredom. And probably need for attention and validation. All of that is ok and human. The task is to find other avenues to fill those otherwise valid needs. Seeking a LVM to address boredom and needs for attention and validation is like starving, but eating a pound of sugar to stave off the hunger.

Yes. Esp now during quarantine or other high stress times and certain times of the month. I've been a serial monogamist so the affection is usually available but I have NOOO idea how to make this go away. Hanging out w/ friends/fam doesn't help.

Sometimes but it lasts only around five minutes. Then I realize I'm craving a fantasy. It's like dreaming about winning the lottery - it's not gonna happen. Just like that.

Yes. I miss a lot about having a man in my life. Lots.

I haven’t been on a date in the last 2 years since separation. No one asks not even LVM. I can’t even go on OLD because I’m a target due to my work.

I sleep with a pillow either side of me to pretend someone is holding me or I’m holding someone.

My girl friends say I’m pretty but the men are intimidated? I dunno.

I crave sex with men all the time. Not a deep soul connection, not marriage, not having a boyfriend, but a lover. I'm not a sex addict, I dont watch porn, but I want a lot of sex. Unfortunately men arent able to be even a simple, respectful lover figure these days.

It’s been happening to me lately because I recently had my IUD removed. Hopefully it’ll taper off in a few months because I constantly need to stop myself from downloading stupid dating apps.

Yes!! Happens every fall for me and I hate it. I can't tell if it's because my birthday is in the fall (looking for a new start?) or if it's because the weather is getting cold? Idk. It's so weird.

Significantly less since I started dating FDS, significantly less since I deleted OLD apps. I have very little interaction with men day to day so without the apps I could probably go months without actually interacting with a guy who doesn’t work at the gas station.

It’s almost like.... Online dating is the supermarket and even if I’m not hungry I go there and suddenly I want to buy $60 worth of snacks. No supermarket, no craving , no bad choices
