Good. I grew up in that subculture, multiple people I knew were friends with the Duggars. It cost me a lot to leave fundie-land, but I have never regretted it even a little. I hope he has a long sentence and dies in jail and can never hurt anyone else.

Former reality TV star Josh Duggar was convicted Thursday of downloading and possessing child sex abuse images on his work computer.

A federal jury in Fayetteville, Arkansas, found the 33-year-old Duggar guilty on one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography. He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for each count when he’s sentenced at a later date.

Good. The whole story is crazy. Observe did a video recently analyzing some of his behavior in his younger years. It gave a lot of background info I wasn't familiar with beforehand. I'm still appalled his parents knew years ago and figured they could "pray it away".

I had no idea who he was and he's disgusting no doubt about it and I fear for his daughters. However I'm also baffled that only now his friend and other people close to him are revealing that he confessed to abuse minors. Why did none of this people do something or thought about protecting the victims when they got to know he was a pedo??

The audacity of them appealing this.

I so hope that the court intends to make an example of him, and I think that is the plan given this statement:

"This verdict sends the message that these cases are a top priority for our office," Fowlkes said. "This verdict also demonstrates that no person is above the law. Regardless of wealth, social status, or fame, our office will continue to seek out all individuals who seek to abuse children and victimize them through the downloading, possession, and sharing of child pornography.”
