If women have access to abortion but instead have children by bad fathers, or don't know not to be bad fathers which is the same thing, it's child abuse. We live in a patriarchy - there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop a child's father from abusing it if he wants to. And yeah, men who want you to get an abortion will still do this (he's already a known abuser!). Even if you kill him, you will go to prison and your child will be raised by the people who raised a bad father, the people who raised an idiot mother, or people who are probably just as bad at childrearing but don't even have a reason to care. It's utterly irresponsible. You doomed them from the start.

Women have the right to ruin their own lives, though of course it's deeply stupid and I really wish they wouldn't. But ruining your child's life is abuse. If you're not a big enough girl to get an abortion, you're certainly not fit to be a mother! People celebrate this irresponsibility in so many ways. According to this person, it's strength that her family should be proud of. Others will call it self sacrifice, or say it reflects maternal instincts. It's the complete opposite.

You can make something of your life when it starts like this. I did. But that doesn't change anything. I also made something of my life despite all of the other child abuse, I don't think anyone would claim that any of that somehow became justified 30 years later. It really infuriates me to see women treating creating life as something so meaningless.
