I want to say thank you to the man who made that comment because way too often men do not speak out against other men. Also note the downvotes he is getting, simply for saying "dont objectify women". I know HVM are rare, but I do truly appreciate seeing examples of HV male behavior.

I think it’s really important for men to see examples of other men standing up to or calling out misogyny. I know some of them may call it out on one hand and then be misogynists in a million other ways, but it’s at least a small encouraging step in turning the social tide. It may be a journey of another thousand years, but it’s something.

What sticks out to me is how much nicer lvm are to hvm as opposed to women. It’s telling how much more respect they give the message if it’s a man criticizing them not a female. Can you imagine the nasty response if it was a female checking him!?

The fear of being disliked by other men is so strong in men that they’ll argue and backpedal and try to get the man to see them in a good light, instead of simply resulting to slurs like they do when a woman points out they’re being pigs.
