Age gap relationships NEVER work. NEVER. Please take it from me. I dated a narcissist who was nearly 20 years older than me. A man who has that sort of experience over you knows all the ways of pulling you in. At first they make you feel special, they make you feel mature, they show you a world that's unlike most men your age have. They'll say things "I'm a child at heart" and "men take much longer to mature". It's fucking bullshit. They know exactly what they're doing. You don't exist that long on earth and know how to not treat your partner like shit. When it serves them, you're "mature to have a relationship with them" and have sex with them, but you do something that they don't like even though it's entirely understandable that "you're immature". Ok then why are you dating me again? Oh yeah, because you're a fucking groomer and a pedophile.

I was verbally and emotionally abused and his abuse escalated to violence (punching my tv, throwing a brick through my window, threats, etc.). He also when he was 16 got a 14 year old pregnant and she had an abortion, but years later she had a daughter by someone else who reached out to him and this daughter confessed she had sexual feelings for him (WHEN SHE WAS 13) and he continued talking to her because the mom wanted a father figure present in her life even though her biological father was not present. He also was obsessed with daddy/daughter roleplay with me and other fucked up fantasies that have to do with impregnation. Now that I've been long out of that and slowly processing how depraved this type of behavior is and I have felt so ashamed and sickened and disgusted by how I was roped in to this trauma bond. I wish I never met him. Therapy and self-help has done wonders though.

All men who go after much younger women are ALL PREDATORS. NO WOMAN my age (in my 20s) is equipped with the kind of experience and knowledge that a man twice her age has, and to go against someone who is a narcissist is a whole other demon.

This!! This is what some people need to see, I just scrolled through a post earlier today about some 19yr old girl apparently kissing a 14 year old boy, news then claimed she didn't know his age and was sorry. Sure that was a messed up thing to do, I don't condone her actions and all that.

But all the comments in that thread were "now reverse the genders"... and all I could think of is we don't need to pretend reverse the genders, there are so many celebrity couples out there where the guy is above 20yrs old and dating...DATING 14-15 year old girls, getting them pregnant, marrying them. And you know what? There's barely any backlash anywhere, barely any outrage in the media.

The genders are reversed, so what's their point?!! It's fucked up either way but they don't see it when it's a guy dating an underage girl, they just wanna complain about genders for the sake of it.

This is child grooming, not age gap relationships. Some of these cases have parents that basically sell their kids to these men. It should be completely illegal no matter what the parent says. It’s disgusting and makes me sick. There should be no legal loophole for pedophilia and child abuse.
