Thoughts on dating younger men? Current thoughts: they always want someone younger and it puts you at risk of waiting for him to grow up/supporting him/always unsure if he is secretly pining for a younger woman...Change my mind.

Not worth it. It will be a waste of your time. Unless you’re 45 and divorced already and want to have a hunky 33 year old boyfriend instead of a 50 year old scrote.

My boyfriend is one year younger than me. I’m 25, he’s 24.

My best relationships have been with men 1 year older or 1 year younger than me or the same age as me—ALL of my best relationships.

All of my worst relationships had age gaps larger than a couple years. The larger the age gap, the worse off it was for me. 2-3 years different from me (younger and older) was eh but not the worst. 4+ years older than me was horrible. And I will never date someone older or younger than me by more than 3 years again.

That’s just my personal experience though.

When I was dating, the 23 and 24 year old guys were significantly hotter and displayed more high value traits than men older than me. Even 28 year olds looked HIT 😂🤢

It seems the older-single-male-population has a higher percentage of scrotes but know there are scrotes in every age group.

How much younger? I tend to date men who are 1-3yrs younger than me, and it's much better than dating men who are older. They've been a lot more respectful of my own needs/professional ambitions, whereas older men have wanted me to fill the preset role in their lives. I was seeing a guy who was 7yrs younger and that was a bit too much as far as our current life states. I've been in "talking to" situations w guys who are like 10yrs younger and they just aren't the types where they're ready to make a move/ask me out formally/whatever, so that's a hard pass for me.

I usually date younger men nothing more than 5 years difference though. I find younger men more attractive and interesting. I have never been attractive to older men. The oldest guy I ever dated was 3 years older than me. But, what I have seen from healthy relationship the couples is usually the same age or a very small age gap between 1-5 years younger or older.

I’m not against dating younger but if you are older than 25 I do not recommend dating anyone under 25.

One of my best friends is married to someone 8 years younger than her (she’s 32, he’s 24), but he seems like one of the one-off, “not all men” ones (he’s the exception, not the rule). He had to help support his family from a young age, grew up pretty quickly and from the time I’ve spent with him he actually does seem mature for his age. He works to support her and the baby, is super supportive of her dreams and hobbies and is just so nice to her (which considering her last two boyfriends were abusive af, that’s HUGE).

He had worked with her at a job and she had declined a date because they were coworkers (and his age) and then when they ran into each other a few years later (and she was single) he asked her out again and pursued the way we want on this sub and it just worked out. I personally have never had success, they’re always super immature. But like with anything, sure it’s theoretically possible lol

I had a 25 year old rebound. He was my personal trainer and really chased me. He seemed very mature for his age and he kinda was in some ways. He wanted something serious and he wasn't the partying type. He could be insecure at times and he was still building, only recently started his career and working parttime so I felt like the man in the 'relationship'. To be fair, nowadays, a lot of men my age (33) are probably the same so I don't know if it's an age thing or just a L/MVM thing.

I think those are valid concerns. Younger is not where I’d look to date.

But as I’m very happy and married to a man more than five years younger than me, I guess I allow high value exceptions, proven over time.

You can always worry about being older; that’s doesn’t go away. You just have to commit to being sane. You know your value.

When I’ve dated younger men, they want me to have a baby with them ASAP. It’s really off putting. I’ve never thought about them leaving me for someone younger but then again I never thought I’d be asked how soon would I have a baby with someone either 🤷🏽‍♀️

Most guys are younger than me, at least mentally. Hardly ever encountered a single guy who genuinely seemed more mature than me. As far as literal age, I don’t mind someone younger, doesn’t make any difference at all in my experience.

Depends on so many things, how big the age gap, lifestyle, etc. My most recent ex was younger by 8 years. I don’t recommend. I look back now and know I had to be crazy to have dated him. He is more mature in some ways compared to males his own age but then worse in so many other ways. He wasn’t on the same level as me, still isn’t and took advantage of my love for him. He started dating his friend, who’s a year younger than him, a month after he broke up with me 🤷🏻‍♀️

On the other hand, my uncle is 6 years younger than my aunt. But they’re both in their 50s now and time was different when they met. They’re also religious and share the same values.

I’ll date younger, but I keep it at 4-5 years younger max. I’ve met some guys younger than me who are serious but unfortunately, I had no interest in them romantically. Also be cautious: there is a huge thrill for younger guys getting older girls. They know we are harder to get, generally speaking, and it’s a big fuckboy badge they’ll wear proudly and tell all their friends about.

It depends on your age. I’m in my early 20s, met a younger guy who seemed extremely mature and who said that he wanted a relationship and marriage in the future. Not sex. He wasn’t sexual at all.

Then he cut me off after a few weeks, I assume that he figured out he wasn’t ready for a real relationship bc he’s so young. Never again.

I'm currently not dating, but when I start again I think I might date men who are younger than me too. I used to be super against it but I don't know anymore...I'm 30 so it wouldn't be a super big age gap at this point. A lot of the dudes my age (and older) ain't shit and don't seem to have much to offer anyway. On top of that, a lot of them have aged miserably. I can't believe it. I'm not attracted to them at all.

If I come across a mature 25-year-old guy who has it together and is respectful AND nice to look at, why not?! I was dreading turning 30 but I've had more than one way younger dude hit on me. I never would have thought they would try. I tell them I'm 30 and they are shocked. Stay away from drugs, excessive amounts of alcohol and use SPF, people. It works lmao.

I've only had one experience 'dating' a guy younger than me and it was a disaster.

He was 2 years younger than me , seemed so mature at the start but that quickly changed. Long story short I found out (partially via Reddit and partially through my other friend) that him and my best friend (who was living with me after her bf dumped her) were sleeping together behind my back. She was also younger than me, and a year younger than him.

Never gone for a younger guy since.
