The “men never get compliments” narrative KILLS me. If any girl gives a man a compliment he immediately takes it as an expression of romantic interest. Ffs it’s not like women are fishing for compliments from men AT ALL. If men want to be complimented so bad then they should start complimenting each other first and foremost. Queens lift each other up constantly.

In my experience, men do not appreciate compliments about their looks/achievements from women they date. It blows up their ego and makes them think you are below them and they can do better. It sets the tone for more abuse (if they are already abusive), more ghosting, and less appreciation (and more criticism) for you. I learned once I joined FDS and refuse to do it again! Maybe in an established relationship it can work occasionally.
