I truly believe that I’m getting trolled. I can not believe the amount of posts that involve people asking for advice for their partners actions that are clearly red flags. Your SO is threatening you/manipulating you for sex?! I don’t want to see you asking for advice on what to do, I want to see how you got rid of that fool. Your SO is asking for an open relationship? I don’t want to see you asking for what to do unless you’re asking what’s the best way to say fuck no. Your SO hit you and it was the first time ever, I don’t want you to ask how to make sure it never happens again, I want you to state how you will make sure it never happens again by leaving him and calling the cops on his ass. Your husband is cheating on you/cheated on you and said it would never happen again and you have kids, I don’t want to see you asking how to make the marriage work, I want to see you asking for legal advice on how to make sure he pays and how you will be able to keep your kids.

Let me clarify, I feel terrible for everyone that is a victim of any of these (plus more terrible things that people do) and I completely understand that when you’re in a situation and at that very moment you can’t think straight or you’re blinded by “love” (I’ve been there) or you’re financially dependent or you’re somehow “obligated” to stay. But I truly wish that I see more of people taking back their lives and not asking others for advice on “how to make it work” when there is clearly something severely fucked up about the situation.
