I overheard a conversation about women being better writers than men. It's an opinion, sure, but it didn't just stop there... The women conversing continued on, discussing how men are easy to write and how they know everything there is to know about being a man/male/boy, but men cannot "begin to grasp the woman experience." They sat there, giggling at every man that came into the restaurant and made comments about his looks, how he'd probably write women characters, and although the conversation is none of my business, it made me so disgusted and angry I just had to get out of there.

I was curious to see if this is a general mentality or if they were just misandrists. Upon researching this further, this is a belief among many women. I cannot say "girl" because that's somehow demeaning or belittling to women, nor can I say "female" because I have been told that "female" is only used to undermine women, despite only ever hearing people say "women/woman" in reference to them; also, men, boys, male... all been used negatively waaaay more in comparison. I digress.

It goes much deeper than this, too. Looking up "Male Rights" makes it seem like men who want equal rights are sexist, misogynistic and want to be better (as opposed to equal) to women, and it has to be at THEIR expense. I'm so tired of this bullshit. I think it's why, no matter which political team people route for, everyone's do divided and unable to see a lot of the real shit that's happening. Worse, people are encouraging this divisiveness by "settling the score" and competing.
