He probably created the situation because he's had plenty of experiences with women who take liberties like so many do. Which pisses us off.

Why be vindictive? He's not being vindictive. The revenge was already had. Making her pay for her own drinks when she thought she was playing him.

It's useful to consider why you assume blanket hatred on an isolated case. Why imagine the man as a woman hating misogynist rather than someone who has been hurt in the past and relishes seeing a similar situation where it ends the other way. Pseudo revenge. In all honesty I don't read any anger in it at all. I'm no stranger to that kind of feeling at all. I laughed when I read it. The actual woman laughed. I guarantee you he is laughing.

Where is the hatred? Coming from one persons perspective of a situation that she hasn't experienced. (again I'm assuming you're female, but I'll refrain from the ma'am this time.)

Edit: one other thing after re-reading. Why assume the woman is at fault rather than the man? Because she literally is. Spin it any way you want. There's only one person making an assumption. Her. Assuming is always wrong. Even when you assume correct.

I am not at all saying that because both members of both sexes do bad things, we should not talk about it. i am suggesting that when a woman does a bad thing, it does not reflect on the moral character of women in general. There is a great deal more difference between a bad woman and a good woman than there is between a good woman and a bad woman.

The reason I mention bitterness, which you take such issue with, is that at least one commenter (/u/colpugno - the one my comment above yours is replying to) talks about how the ‘liberties’ taken by ‘so many women’ ‘piss[] us off’. He also says that is is fair for a man who has been ‘hurt in the past’ to enjoy seeing women losing.

It is not fair for you to criticise me for mentioning bitterness when some people in this thread on the same side as you have used it as a crucial element of their arguments. Either hold everyone to the standard of not mentioning bitterness (for some reason) or don’t criticise me about it.

Take this as a response to your other comment criticising me for mentioning bitterness, too. you certainly are replying to me a lot.

I'm Scottish. If I'm pissed off, I'm minorly inconvenienced.

We swear a lot over here. A fuck is a comma for fucks sake. Doesn't make me bitter. It means I've experienced the situation, so can accurately assess similar situations.

For example, you are pissing me off. I'm not angry about it. I've been at work all day. I've been pissed off all day. I'm eating a cheese sandwich and couldn't be more content.

And you're summarising rather poorly by saying "men hurt in past enjoy watching women lose". I may be Scottish but I turn to our German brothers and sisters for the feeling of Schadenfreude. I enjoy watching anyone get their come uppance. But I will give you one win here. I do hate all women, and men. I just hate people. Call me a misanthrope. But don't call misogyny without adding in the misandry.

I didn't bring up revenge, you did. You said he was being vindictive. I was simply counteracting your assumption that he was being vindictive by pointing out that any revenge was already had.

1) The fact she posted the tweet shows that she expected it to be paid for her in the first place. Hence taking liberties.

2) If you're going to bring in different situations that have nothing to do with the issue at hand, I'm not gonna bother with you. Yes there is a select proportion of the human race who treat others like shit. Men and women. Doesn't have any baring on this debate.

3) She wanted free drinks. She didn't get them. He went home probably laughing. She laughed in her tweet. This is a humerous situation. Despite any anger you are reading (from the lack of tone that is the internets biggest weakness) is all in your head.

It's a funny maymay. Yes it's posted in men's rights, but that doesn't necessarily mean it belongs. Laugh and move on.
