Be it the result of natural selection, which may or not be exacerbated by social conditions, dating is harmful on the long term for men.

Not only do we have to make the first moves, make the insinuations, read the air, be ghosted, rejected, etc. But also we are judged, and harshly, just for trying to find a partner. This leads to social repercussions such as rumors spreading of you being a predator, too pushy, too needy, incompetent with women, you name it. Being treated this way can really get to you and it’s important to learn to handle it.

Personally, after entering the dating scene for around 1 year, all I’ve found is mostly unpleasant experiences, judgement, waste of time and money, emotional frustration, etc. This may be considered normal, but I’ve realized, it’s harming me. And it’s harming a lot of men too.

We can’t expect social change on this regard, as sexual interactions are also influenced by natural rules. Best path of action is to be patient, expect nothing, and control your urges.
