My ex wife threatened to kill me and my kids on many occasions. She fantasised about mutilating my new partner in front of our son (which obviously left him traumatised). I can't believe an ad like that gets approved (well I can, but it is so wrong)

I saw this in Manchester outside deansgate station. All it made me think of is the study that said half of all abuse aginst women was from other women. I found the BBC article the other day, but can't find it now. If anyone can find that now id be grateful.

Well? Call out hate when you see it. Whenever a feminist is spewing bs, call them out. The answer is that I very rarely see sexist hate anywhere other than the seedier corners of the internet, so there's really not much I can do about it.

That said, it's a poster themed around English football (isn't it?) which absolutely does attract the sort of... oh, screw it, let's engage in snobbery... the sort of blue-collar attitude that might easily harbour some genuinely unpleasant, prejudicial attitudes.

It's still a poster that's likely to make a lot of men (and a fair few women, frankly) shake their heads in dismay at the needlessly provocative, hopelessly prejudicial attitude.

Report them to the ASA (Advertising standards agency). I hadn't thought about them since getting out of that Monday sun.

Don't expect much to happen though as the feminists have their claws in the rules already.

It should say 'sexist hate can come from any of us, but we can all be part of the solution'. Saying it starts with men, suggests women can't be sexist against men for example. Which is inherently incredibly sexist.

I just don’t understand why they always portray us guys as dangerous,violent, rapist psychos. Alright there’s a few men who are unsavoury but we’re not all bad women can be evil and cruel too I have had death threats and been blackmailed by women. I have even been accused of things I didn’t do. Yet they try to lynch us on accusations what happened to fair justice innocent until proven guilty with actual proof not trumped up charges.

Edit: apologies for going off topic ranting it’s just frustrating how men are being bullied by feminists and a broken justice system

I feel it’s more about fear, realistically most cases where a woman gives a death threat to a man (I’m not saying every single one) the man is not as fearful as the vice versa and I think that’s their point it’s just worded very politically, first sentence is a bit mad because it’s literally not true. I just think at the top they have absolutely no idea what all these real life situations are like.

Report to UK Advertising Standards Authority. Advert is unacceptable and factually wrong. Direct them to the research by the Pew Center for Social Media which shows that men receive more online hate than women (but women report being more affected by it) and that much of the hate directed to women is actually sent by other women.
