Feminism and equality between men and women are two different things.

Feminists who insist that the patriarchy exists is completely deluded.

If the patriarchy really existed, they won't be allowed the rights they have now.

If they can't think about this , then feminism really is a political agenda.

I remember arguing about Feminism and patriarchy with a girl.

I said that there is no patriarchy in Finland, and brought up the finnish prime minister, Sanna Marin. She fucking replied with "That doesnt count because I dont like the way she does things"

Even when bringing up the US, and Hillary Clinton for example, she said "Well thats over the atlantic, were here in Europe"

Its completely useless to argue about feminism with people. Either they pull the misogynist, rapist or some other card on you. There are smart people I'm sure of it, I just haven't seen any.

(Patriarchy definetly exists in places where women are held in a lower position just by their gender, and that needs to be fixed.)

If you look at what ideas feminists have, then look at how fascists behave, you will find a lot of the same. The patriarchy is the most prominent example, a big evil enemy smart enough to control the world but stupid enough that a small group or an individual will be able to defeat it if they just get all the power and control, and nobody even questions their methods.

this is IMO the best way I've personally seen feminism criticised. or at least, the best way to start criticising feminism. it delivers a lot of information in a short period of time, visually - some proof, super educative. perfect starting point before doing stuff like listing all the bad feminism has done.

at the same time it builds a bridge out to women saying "we don't hate you, we care. but we're done taking the blame for everything". it makes a connection so that, instead of feeling like an attack, it feels like... an invitation i guess?

though, i couldn't help laughing at the "imagine if men were as grossed out at rape as they are periods". first, they are. second, you know if we said something like that we'd be admonished? we'd have to make it "imagine if feminists were as bothered by suicide, homelessness, or random men being vilified as they are by random erections". and even then we'd be heavily protested.

imagine the reaction if we protested with this sign? if only women were as grossed out by their partners dying in war unwillingly as they are having to leave their homes for safety. why don't feminists hide their nasty generalisations by blaming it on the MRM? Because its not the MRM's fault, and feminism is inherently anti-male. they blame the gender, we blame the movement.

unfortunately, society still lead us to believe all men are bad, and all feminism is good. what a twisted way of thinking.

Man, this series always hits the nail on the head so squarely.

I just don't know how to make it any clearer. I don't hate women. I dislike the rhetoric of feminism and I disagree with how it portrays men. I dislike how it portrays all women's issues as being caused by top-down sources bearing down on women, while men's issues are bottom-up, coming from within the man.

Of course, feminists have worked hard to make their new definition of feminism: that it means you believe in equality between the sexes. And if you disagree with any facet of feminism, you're an anti-feminist. And if you're an anti-feminist, you don't believe in equality between the sexes, which makes you a misogynist.

See the mental gymnastics? Fuck feminism. Support equality.

Feminism has a basis in truth like any other dogma, and like the rest it has a sprinkle of misinformation and lies. The concepts are interchangeable, you can replace Satan as the patriarchy which is some nameless faceless aspect you should fear and try to stamp out. People guard their dogma and the same is no different with Feminism, daring to criticize anything can result in a blood feud.

This is what I have always believed and argued. "The Patriarchy" is also not "men". Both sexes embrace each position (though not necessarily equally). People strongly committed to either position struggle to understand why someone of their own sex would embrace a position that is "detrimental to their sex". There are, unfortunately, many men who embrace the position of feminism and believe this makes them enlightened or tolerant. The opposite is true, ime.

I think feminism in its original form isn't bad. In my opinion it just got a bad reputation because of people who take it too far and cover their hate for men or desire for privilege with it. Feminism was never for female privilege. It was for equality and seeing this word that helped half of humanity get rights in some countries get sh*t on is sad. Bring back it's origin-meaning and don't hate the word itself.
