Letting these MRA groups march in a Gay Pride Parade would be akin to letting the KKK march in a Juneteenth Parade.

CAFE should be applauded for this, yet the official "gay rights" people seem far too fixated on the concerns of cis-het women than on the concerns of non-het, non-cis people. CAFE supports the equality of the trans and non-het community, yet because of institutionalized feminism they get condemned.

This is horrendous.

Cis-het women need to realize something; the queer community isn't about them. The discrimination faced by non-het and/or non-cis people is not an epiphenomenon of misogyny.

I hope CAFE succeeds and shows the world that the MHRM is pro-trans and pro-nonheterosexual.

Some very telling language in the comments section: 'Fucking crybabies'... 'Whiney, Unfuckable'... 'Wimpy, wimpy assholes'... 'whiney misogynist'... 'Get your own parade you whiny little bitches'... 'Cry Babies... 'As canon fodder, they are perfect. No great loss'.

Good to see others in there are not stopping to their level though, and preferring to 'play the ball rather than the man'.

I don't want to give that shitty site any hits so I don't really know the specifics, but it does please me as a gay man to see this finally happening.

They certainly have an uphill battle on their hands though, a lot of feminist dogma is unfortunately HEAVILY entrenched in the "gay community", god I hate that phrase. Their best bet is going to be to emphasize their stances on anti-infant circumcision, increased availability of domestic violence and suicide aversion resources, and child custody rights. There are a lot of gay men who are sympathetic to at least some of those causes.

Secondarily, it would probably be helpful to in some way signal they support the love of men and masculinity in general. You see feminist groups doing this sort of thing all the time "celebrating wonderful women" etc. and I don't see anything wrong with that (though it can I'd argue, rather easily veer into maudlin over-the-top territory), you never see it said about men. Yes, 'masculinity can be expressed in many ways' and "nontraditional" forms of expression should be included and not derided and blah, blah blah, I agree with all that, but there are a LOT of us who are entirely conventionally masculine, everyday guys who simply love being and being with other similarly inclined men who were ultimately driven away from feminism by among other things, its constant disgusting hatred of men and manhood. THAT'S their target if they do attend one of these things - and I definitely hope they do.

CAFE represents the interests of half of the gay population. How could their inclusion be a hateful thing?

Advocating for the rights of half of the gay population is certainly not hateful unless you believe that half of the gay population doesn't deserve equal rights.

The best thing the LGBT community can do is move away, very far away from the hate groups who try to exclude others based on prejudice ( sounds familiar? ) . They of all should know that this kind of attitude those radical feminists are portraying is the exact opposite of acceptance. Radical feminists only say they fight for LGBT and racial minorities just so they can more easily push their own egocentric agenda. It has never been about the rights and equality of others as it has been about putting themselves in the center of attention.

I wish CAFE would toughen up a little. Why not start showing the organizers some of the hate that comes from the other side. Let them go on the defensive. I sometimes get the urge to join CAFE, but then I wonder if it is worth it if they won't defend themselves.

How many times on this forum have we seen people ask questions like, "Does the MRA support gay rights?" in the past 2-3 years? And how many times have anti-MRA types claimed that the MRA is "heteronormative"? What better way to answer those accusations than to have CAFE participate in Canada's biggest Pride event?

The hypocracy of these people is breathtaking.

The oddest thing about this is that they are saying that feminism is a single unified thing to which they say men's issues folks are oppose. Yet if you speak to anyone about feminism outside of this context, no one would ever dare say that there is one unified "feminism".

Gays (unlike the organizers of Pride Toronto) are not homogeneous group in terms of their political or gender views. If the organizers are fine with publicly excluding a group of people for the sake of inclusivity, it might not sit well with those who are less PC-brainwashed.

Cynically speaking, in this situation it is the organizers who are bigoted hypocrites, who are mainstream and who have power. CAFE is a victim of their bigotry. I'd rather CAFE to march, but if it doesn't happen, it will be a publicity win for CAFE. Because people, gay or straight, like victims.

IIRC they were going to let them march last year until SJW/radfems flipped their shit and inundated them with complaints, at which point they told CAFE no at the last minute.

And yet Pride let QuAIA (Queers Against Israeli Apartheid) take part in the parade for years against quite a lot of opposition and despite the fact that Israel is one of the, if not only-full-stop, places in the ME where gays aren't punished for homosexuality.

The LGB, T and other related movements seem to have a pretty long history of sexism and racism against white heterosexual men. The entire "alliance" between these movements is mostly based on this common practice of vilifying white heterosexual men. Surely there are better ways to advocate for gay, bisexual or queer men.
