CMV: Model face= prominent bone structure. I do sometimes see girls with non-model faces ("cuties", even average) with guys who have face that could do modelling. I rarely see it vice versa (girls that could model "dating" even cute/babyfaced(with beard), even jacked, tall guys).

I would love to show you a picture of my SO then you could see she has model looks.

And then I would love to show you a picture of me and you'd see that I have virtually no hair, gappy, wonky teeth, weak jaw, probably on the skinny side of average, not muscular, never seen the inside of a gym in my life, don't have the idealised male physique. I do have nice eyes, though, although Atlas would say that they're weak, beta eyes!

Overall, I'm not bad looking, I have quite decent and proportionate facial features, I'm quite tall, I don't have a bad physique, particularly for my age. But if I tried to model for a living, I would end up homeless pretty quickly.

When I met her it taught me a lesson that it's not all about looks. It's easy to think that it is, but as men we are lucky that we can bring a cocktail of qualities to the table, unlike women who will always be primarily judged on their looks.

From numerous personal anecdotes from living on three different continents... I can say that... to my heterosexual male eyes... I have pretty much never seen a generally attractive man (fit, well groomed) with a generally unattractive female (out of shape, poor skin). On the flipside, I see out of shape, sorta shabbily-dressed men with generally attractive women all the time.

Am literally woman that does modeling work, my face is 'sharp' and boney. Never dated a male model. My current SO does not have a model face, his features are blunt rounded.

Cant really challenge what you have personally experienced but I see all kinds. Women sex can sex way out of their league with FWB's/ONS's but often date within their league. Most men take what they can get and a certain percent have lots of options.

Thank you. Yeah, even though most of the people here, especially the women, will never admit to it, the former is much more common than the latter. You see that a lot with younger couples especially, where girls of all shapes and sizes with guys who are all uniformly tall, fit and handsome seems to be the norm.

Eh, you know that lots of models aren't "pretty", right? For example this girl is a model, so is this one, and this one and this one. Models are chosen for their ability to make a compelling photograph, being pretty is one way of doing that, but so is being striking or even downright odd-looking.

So yes absolutely I have seen girls with 'model faces' with average and below-average men.

I honestly don't meet men and women with model faces in my every day life. I especially don't think I've seen a man who looks like a male model in the wild. Except maybe that time in India the Kashmiri with the blue eyes, but I digress. I see attractive women with unattractive men far more than I see attractive men with unattractive women. I guess it depends where you live, but where I live, attractive men only date super attractive women.

In my experience, people who have 'modelesque' faces but don't have a lifestyle that requires careful PR management don't necessarily look for the same facial standards in others.

Normal well adjusted beautiful people understand that someone's face is a genetic accident, and the important parts of a person are their internal character traits. Externally visible things like good nutrition, physical activity, good grooming/hygiene, good posture, and clothes that fit well all signal self-respect and confidence, which are attractive for short and long term prospects.

People do have preferences of course, but in my experience the 'beautiful' girls who don't have to maintain a public image have a wide range of men they're attracted to.
