So I was having a conversation with a friend, and he explained to me that he’s “aromantic.” He said that this means, for him, sex is purely mechanical. He doesn’t like to have feels or emotions involved really at all. He doesn’t like romance. He likes sex, but he doesn’t care for the emotional part. To him, it’s just grinding meat.

It’s different for me. I really like romance. Not like a ton of it, but it’s strange to me that guys would call a tinder girl over and just bang. Like I need to at least share a drink or two and build the tension, build a connection, build an interpersonal dynamic first. For me sex is all about that interpersonal exchange, it’s not just grinding meat at all.

I really didn’t even know this was a thing, I thought everyone was more or less like me. But apparently not.

So I was thinking about this and wondering if there might be a redpill-bluepill thing going on here. Is redpill more aligned with aromantics? Is blue pill more aligned with romantics, or at least, with people who need a connection? Do you relate to one of these extremes more than the other? Do you think that ties in with your pill orientation?
