I don't really see a problem with this. I don't think TRPers "hate" MRAs. Perhaps some might hate them, but I think there's a lot of overlap between the two groups.

I don't think we'll ever go back to traditionalism. If things have not progressed quickly enough in terms of gender equality, it seems that the main issue would be with women who favor some aspects of traditionalism which are/were favorable towards women. They want to have their cake and eat it, too, and that's where most of the current problems originate.

This, I think, is the central crux of the issue among MRAs. All they're really saying is that, if women want equality, then they should practice what they preach. Otherwise, why should men bother to go along with this? Why should men care?

I'd suggest you refine your post to make it clearer.

When you say men should have "equal reproductive and legal rights", you're advocating for what?

--men able to force women to have abortions?

--men able to force women to carry babies to term and give birth?

--men unilaterally able to skip out on parental rights by "financial abortion", i.e., giving up parental rights?

--men being able to have full child custody? or share residential custody??

What does this mean? And why is this going to make women more pleasant? Why is this going to help male-female relationships?

The Red Pillers seem to hate the MRAs, but TRPillers are also apathetic and offer 0 solutions.

MRA's offer solutions for the future of society. TRP offers solutions men can enact in their own lives right now.

I would love to see MRA ideas catch on in the mainstream, but I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime, I'll use TRP to make my own life better, thank you.

If anything, I personally see TRP as more solutions-based than the MRM is. MRA's deal with the world as it should be while TRPers deal with the current world as it is.

Your point is exactly the RP sentiment of holding women to the same standard as men. That is a really long way off. Until every single man is sexually satisfied it probably wont happen.

Would the father be allowed to opt out after the child is born or just before? Would the father be allowed to just abandon his 6 year old child because he doesn't feel like it?

I think a financial abortion is the best solution. Most see that as 'coercion' but, I think that's fair. The woman needs to understand that during the time she can have an abortion, the man can opt out. And also, fatherhood should be determined during utero for any prospective father, so that child support can not be placed on him once the child is born.

That said, you won't be getting any support from pro-life...and they are an aggressive group.

Also, if this were to work abortion would need to be easily accessible and available to all, regardless of financial status. No fucking 24 hour wait periods and bullshit. And wider distribution of the abortion pill.

Or wages would go back up because women joining the workforce and doubling the worker supply without doubling the job supply totally fucked the living wage.

A guaranteed minimal income would stop the homeless problem but nobody talks about that. It will also prevent a lot of single mothers who become that just for the paycheck.

If traditionalism cant be the answer, equality would be a decent consolation prize. Allowing men to financially abort a unwanted kid would decrease single moms, as an "oops baby" trap would be nullified. It would also allow the potential dad to be able to demand a paternity test before he assumes any sort of responsibility. Once women see that they cannot get any monetary help, they would ( hopefully ) pick better partners or only put out when married and then stay married.

Personally, I would prefer traditionalism though. But that would also include a traditionalist gov like what we had in the 50s. That would be pretty cool

First, women are not half the workforce. They are around 42% of the workforce. (There are 61,892,000 full-time working men, and 44,719,000 full-time working women.) Source: http://www.bls.gov/cps/cpsaat08.htm

Second, even in a "traditional" system, not all women will be out of work.

Third: Moving towards a more traditional society where fewer women work -- the economy might shrink in the short-term, but it would be better in the long-term. If women took up more traditional (child-raising) ways, there would be more children. A lot of countries are going into crisis mode because they're at below-replacement level fertility. Italy and Japan are examples of this - both are at 1.4 fertility, which means that each generation is 30% smaller than the previous one (which is roughly the same sized effect that you'd get if women were removed from the workforce - except that it gets repeated every 25 years or so). The long-term result is that their economies will contract and the country will become less and less relevant in the world -- unless they invite more immigrants into the country, which ends up changing the culture in a whole variety of ways. You might argue that removing women from the workforce = more immigrants, but that's only a temporary effect. Low birthrates is a long-term effect which has a much larger effect when you look at it on the scale a century or multiple centuries.
