We all know that there are gender specific transgressions for men. These are acts which aren't technically crimes but they go outside social boundaries. They can be committed by anyone but society mostly regards them as male caused problems and basically sends this message to all men " You better not engage in this kind of behavior because it is ____ and if you do engage in it, then we will put you in that category ".

Kind of like the moral police is laying charges on you in your immediate social circle and everyone in your circle now associates you with that new definition they've put on you.

Eg: If a guy is bad at picking up social cues and keeps talking to a woman who has subtly indicated that she's not interesested, he might get called a creep. Or if a guy is exclusively treating a girl better than all his other friends (maybe because he likes her), then he gets the label of " nice guy ".

I think you get the point I'm trying to make. That society has placed these rules that are meant mostly for men because these rules are apparently meant to keep male behavior in check.

But my question is, how come there are no such rules for women? Has anyone noticed that? Surely women also have their own social framework to navigate through?
