Not a guy, but I have an advice for you - if you feel that the content you're consuming affects you negatively, you should reduce the amount of it and not just try to find toxic content from the opposite side to "even it out". Spend less time online and less time on content created to induce negative feelings. Socialize with people in real life and get to know more of them to see whether anything you read online has some ground in reality.

The easiest way to stay centered is to have a diverse friend group and be open with them and have these conversations with them.

Man hating is bad, and we also know that woman hating is bad. Find women who want to be friends with men, and I really do want to stress this find men who actually want to be friends with women.

It’ll make a night and day perspective on all of the issues that you see on Reddit since a lot of us are always online.

I’m fortunate that I have strong positive male role models as well as a social network that includes close male friends. Sometimes I will feel negative about men when I read PPD posts or posts by RP or incels, but I can think about my husband, or my dad, or my nephews, or the guys who I grew up with and play D&D with and it makes me feel better.

I don't really engage with it or watch it in the first place. Unfortunately no matter how stable you are in life that dogshit content will get to you, it's just a matter of time. Sometimes as a guilty pleasure, and as someone in a happy relationship with my girlfriend, I'll indulge in both spectrums to see what conversations are being had. I'd be lying if I say I was perfectly fine afterwards and had no biases towards men and women. That content is meant to make you scared, angry, frustrated, and hateful towards men/women.

This content is not representative of reality 99% of the time, it's just there to garner clicks and views for money/clout. Take a break from it and see if your life improves in any way. If so, I'd avoid it entirely.

I avoid getting influenced by not listening to people who spend all their times being negative.

There are plenty of shitty people in this world who focus on shitty things and make everyone around them feel shitty. But there’s no benefit to it. It just gets your brain used to negative cycles.

Instead I just focus on mild hedonism. Does something make me happy? Is it something I enjoy? Then I do it, and if it’s fun, I’ll then go on to invite others to do it with me.

It’s amazing how many women actually want to spend time with you if you’re actually having fun and doing enjoyable things.

I believe in a weird, personal ideology of balance in all things. I don't like teetering to far on either side but at the same time, I'm human so there's that. On top of that, I'm fortunate enough that most of the problems men here speak on I've never encountered regardless of if those problems were misplaced or not. Things have always just kinda worked out for me so places like this are kinda one big spectacle to me, I come to see people verbally tear each other apart while speaking past each other and then I disappear for months on end

Put your phone on greyscale and watch how you feel when you consume content.

If you feel agitated, validated or sad the content was designed to make you feel that way. Think about why. If you feel nothing the content was informative.

The greyscale takes away some of the sugar rush we get from social media.

Personally I use a few strategies. The primary one is journalling. I keep a diary to write out thoughts, dreams, emotions, and just to vent. Then I leave it for a day or two. If I need to process things further I go back to it. Review. Pull it apart. Figure out causes. Triggers. All those factors. Then my favourite part; solutions.

The key is to build, and maintain objectivity. The benefit of journalling is it ‘stores’ your thoughts and emotions for you. So you physically have something to look at. Poke and prod. To try and reach a level of perspective. Where you’re getting as broader worldview as possible.

Best way is to get out and interact with people in real life. I think both sides online have some truths but they are distorted versions of the real thing. If you're still in your 20's I'd highly recommend college and making friends there.

Also don't be afraid to lean more on the men's views of things. You are a man so it's natural, just don't get mad at women for doing the same.

I don't stay centered. I watch red pill rage, then I go to a femcel board and watch them shit all over men. I like to have a good mix of hateful vitriol lobbed at the opposite gender from both genders almost 24/7. Don't even get me started on the blackpill content I found. I live for the drama. Now I can usually pick out who's red or black pilled on other boards, like the looks ones or the dating ones.

That is until I discovered the large group of people commenting on people like Nickocado Avocado and Amberlynn Reid. Now I'm watching content about fat people over indulging in food like 1000 lb Sisters. I never realized a reality show about weight loss could be so entertaining. I also like to get that feeling of stuffing my face vicariously through them because I can't do that myself. I watch this one dude eat 50k calories in 24 hours, he is the most fascinating competitive eater and I'm filled with a mix of horror and confusion watching him eat. Now this is the content I prefer to watch. When in doubt, get a diversion into something else that's equally destructive.

Basically I've realized I like watching train wrecks. Could be about anything, the gender war, people eating themselves into the grave, all that stuff is like mainlining adrenaline to me. So yeah I'm not centered at all, I think I'm becoming more and more heinous by the day.

Having said that, real life is nothing like the novelty of goofing around online, where everyone's filter is off. Your friends, coworkers, and acquaintances should be your sounding board and influences.
