We talk a lot about for example, if a man doesn't want his girlfriend dressing scantily and going to the clubs, he must be insecure in his masculinity and that's his problem, and there is some truth to that statement.

I will define cuckold clearly in the context of the question I'm asking because I am not speaking about a sexual fetish at this time.

A cuckold in this circumstance is a man who allows his wife or girlfriend to sleep with other men, whereas he remains devout to her. He allows it because she wants to do it, it makes her feel good to sleep with other men and have different experiences but he personally derives no pleasure from it.

The question to all people here is multifaceted

  1. Is this man secure in his masculinity?

  2. Is it demeaning to this man objectively or socially? If so, why? If not, why not?

  3. If he feels anxious, upset or bothered by it is that his own insecurity/emotional immaturity? Should be "grow through it" and become masculine enough to accept his wife sleeping with other men for her own enjoyment?

  4. Does anything change in this situation if the man and his wife/girlfriend have children together?

I'm not looking for answers like "it's their decision, people can do what the want, it's not for people to judge, etc" I'm looking for answers to these specific questions more or less.

Cheers people.
