One thing that I've noticed that seems to be fairly common among 'incels' them is that they are often (introverted) smart guys, as in "book smart", they can solve complex math problems, write well, quote 18th century philosophers, etc...but for the life of them these guys have a hard time socializing, being "street smart", and just being overall "fun"...social intelligence. I remember in a psych course a few years ago we were discussing intelligence and how's it measured, one point that was made is that social intelligence can in some ways be greater than IQ intelligence, since humans are complex social creatures it would do good for anyone to be acutely socially intelligent because at the end of the day networking and forming social connections will get you farther than just being pure smart by itself. Unless of course you're a genius and invent the next standard computer operating system or discover a cure for Alzheimers.

I think about this and it makes sense to me, when it comes to job hunting there's a saying that it's not what you know but rather who you know, that's why job candidate A who may not be as knowledgeable in a subject as candidate B is able to sweep the interview because in addition to knowing a plug-in; he's charming, funny, and seductive (the traits that helped him get those plug-ins to begin with) whilst candidate B may be smart as hell but he's nervous and jittery which turns off the potential employer.

And of course this all applies to dating/sex, it explains why the alpha frat bro "chad" who doesn't even study and has rocks for brains has several women lining up to fuck him on a regular basis while the smart but awkward physics major struggles to get a woman to go on a coffee date with him.

One more thing, I know there's things like "Aspergers" or whatever but I'm not really addressing those cases. I'm talking about guys who are not on an extreme end of a spectrum but still have above-average intelligence.
