Women don't actually want their men to "be in touch with their feelings". Men don't show emotion or share their feelings because there is no benefit for them to do so in society or their relationships.

it sure seems like men often assume/project that a woman who waits to have sex until she's married, or has a very low body count, has more overall personal integrity as a human being in all walks of life. am i right?

[–]Excellent_Badger123Purple Pill Woman [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It seems to be a common assumption here and to be fair a lot of women seem to believe this as well. High integrity sluts exist and are good people in my book 😎

[–]At30wecrashoutReality Pilled Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (25 children) | Copy Link

I don’t get why some men feel as though they have to explain themselves or post studies to justify their N count preference.

Who cares what other people think? Let them think you’re insecure or whatever.

[–]Logos1789Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (23 children) | Copy Link

No, women deserve to hear the reasoning which invalidates their claims that it’s meaningless

[–]At30wecrashoutReality Pilled Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree that it’s not meaningless, but they’re unlikely to ever admit that. I say just own the preference and let them think what they think.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (15 children) | Copy Link

The β€œreasoning” never holds water in all the times I’ve read n count threads. Instead of constantly moralizing against women who’ve had casual sex, I’d have more respect for men who can admit that this fixation is really just about their performance anxiety.

[–]Logos1789Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Simply put, the more experiences a woman has with men who are better than average men (including things like penis size), the less capable average men are of fully satisfying her.

Most men don’t have enough appeal to offset being suboptimal in bed

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Why are we assuming a low n makes a woman any more likely to think a β€œsuboptimal” man is good in bed? A woman who’s satisfied with that is likely just low libido, or prioritizes other things about your relationship. And it’s not like men always think women are β€œoptimal” either.

[–]Logos1789Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (12 children) | Copy Link

It’s common for women who experience a skilled man who has large size to have a permanently raised bar for the level of stimulation that they crave, to the point that they realize how that lack of size and skill was why they had not previously orgasmed from deep penetration

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (11 children) | Copy Link

In my experience of knowing one (1) woman that’s a size queen, she likes to ask a man early on about their size, so that she doesn’t feel like she’s wasting her time. I’d imagine other women with strong preferences like that are more sexually forward with that. Because if it’s not strong enough of a preference, then it’s not worth breaking up over.

So I just still don’t think a woman’s n count alone is going to make any difference in whether or not she’ll enjoy sex with you for the long term. Why wouldn’t you instead go off of how a woman treats you, the chemistry you have, or how she reacts to you in bed? I certainly judge men by how they act towards me.

[–]Logos1789Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Because playing it up for the man is to be expected. You can’t trust that good sex = good enough to keep her from wanting better again

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (9 children) | Copy Link

By that standard any woman could be faking how she feels about you then.

[–]Logos1789Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yes, that’s why it’s best to rely upon her experience being limited prior to meeting her

[–] Corbast7 Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago   (1 child) | Copy Link

What’s the evidence that lower n women are more satisfied with their sex lives? Because I don’t think that’s true.

[–] Logos1789 Man [score hidden] 3 days ago   (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn’t make that claim.

[–] PositionStandard6089 no pill woman [score hidden] 4 days ago   (5 children) | Copy Link

that's interesting.

i wasn't coming, like ever, with my first partner/boyfriend. i didn't have to have any prior experience to eventually get really bored of that and i started wondering what else was out there.

[–] Logos1789 Man [score hidden] 3 days ago   (4 children) | Copy Link

Ok, but that doesn’t refute what I claimed.

I’m saying that, all else being equal, him being your first was his best shot at satisfying you, compared to now that you have first hand experience with better men.

Even though you have more knowledge of what you like in bed now, that still wouldn’t help him to satisfy you better than you’ve now experienced with other men.

[–] PositionStandard6089 no pill woman [score hidden] 3 days ago   (3 children) | Copy Link

if i had any clue what i liked and how to convey that when i was with him, i could have showed him, and the sex would have been much more satisfying and i probably never would have broken it off to see what else was out there

[–] Logos1789 Man [score hidden] 3 days ago *   (2 children) | Copy Link

Ok, but that doesn’t preclude what I assert to be the main contributing factor in achieving maximal satisfaction during vaginal penetration: what’s going in there.

Most of what you feel is displacement by the volume of the man’s penis. If he isn’t displacing as much, you won’t feel as much. If he isn’t reaching certain nerve endings, then he isn’t stimulating them in the most satisfying way.

The G spot and vestibular bulbs are stimulated passively with girth.

The posterior fornix and the anterior fornix are stimulated by length to reach them and skill to avoid cervix pounding. These sensations bypass the circuitry of the clitoris and go straight to the brain stem.

[–] PositionStandard6089 no pill woman [score hidden] 3 days ago   (1 child) | Copy Link

sir, did you short circuit?

we were discussing experience vs lack of experience

why is this now an anatomy lesson?

[–] Logos1789 Man [score hidden] 3 days ago   (0 children) | Copy Link

Because your explanation as to why a higher N count isn’t a bad thing does not address what I laid forth about penis size mattering, which makes N count matter.

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well that makes sense. If you hate women, then a relationship with a woman probably isn't for you.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I don't see how that makes sense. In that case they wouldn't have sex with them either.

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It completely makes sense. There have been women I've slept with who I was very physically attracted to but didn't actually like as people. Those women were fine for a hookup, but I didn't want a relationship with them, so I moved on to the next.

If a guy doesn't like any women as people, then all women he's physically attracted to fall into this category. So instead of forming a relationship, he keeps it casual then moves onto the next.

Most men manage to find a woman who they're attracted to and who they like as a person, so they settle down. A man who doesn't like women is much less likely to.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hm, I actually thought misogyny is just prejudice / negative bias towards women rather than pure hatred, but I've just googled it and turns out hatred is actually included in the definition. I don't think it's possible to get laid if you have pure hatred towards all women - it would just be impossible to mask it long enough to get into bed with any of them even if you wanted to. I think maybe something like 0.1% of men actually hate women and those never get laid as they are too bitter and hateful to do it as I said. Negative prejudice on the other hand can actually help you get laid because on average in some aspects women tend to possess more qualities that wouldn't be socially approved if found out compared to men and acknowledging those makes you more effective at interacting with them - that's why I initially said that male misogynists have more success than male feminists.

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hatred is obviously on the extreme, so let's just say men who dislike women probably don't want a relationship with a woman. Assuming he's not socially inept, a man who dislikes women can be civil enough and personable enough with her for long enough to get laid. Most people can hide who they are on a date for a couple hours (in fact many people are hiding who they are on a first date).

I'm not talking about an unhinged misogynist who can't be in the same room as a woman without screaming at her. That guy obviously isn't getting laid. I'm talking about a misogynist with standard social skills. If you still want sex but dislike women, you're typically going to avoid relationships and just have sex, which leads to higher n count.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (12 children) | Copy Link

High n count correlates with a more disagreeable personality so it wouldn’t shock me at all. Disagreeable people attract each other.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (11 children) | Copy Link

You think it's disagreeableness that gets them laid?

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Disagreeable men are more likely to take risks and push boundaries with strangers. High n also correlates strongly with extroversion, so that helps too.

[–]Current_Tax4903Red Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes but feminist men are also extroverted so that doesn’t explain why misogynists get more

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Misogynist / conservative men are more disagreeable, and being extroverted and disagreeable correlates strongly with a high n count. Extroverted and agreeable men are less likely to play the field.

[–]Current_Tax4903Red Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Why are agreeable extroverts less likely to play the field?

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Misogynist men generally don't like women but still want sex. A man who only wants women for sex is more likely to have a series of short-term partners vs. settling down with one of them in a long-term relationship.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably because agreeable people are more LTR oriented, and would rather be more intentional in dating.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I thought women find pushing boundaries creepy and reject such men?

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There are enough women out there who’ll say yes if you confidently approach people often enough, even if most women reject you.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Shit, can't argue with that.

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Also keep in mind that boundaries are more easily broken when alcohol is involved. Almost 90% of sex with strangers involves a woman who's been drinking and the majority involves a woman who's been binge drinking. Not saying that's a good thing, but it's important to keep in mind when talking about casual sex.

[–]Reasonable_Style8214Pro surgery man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Still waiting for studies. Until then, high-n is bad.

This is a debate forum, but even high-n people know it's bad. They're too afraid to debate. I've never seen a high-n person post a study. Maybe high-n correlates with low iq.

[–]ThatBitchA♀️ My husband takes out the trashπŸ—‘ [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is it bad according to your studies?

Because someone is more likely to divorce? I don't find that bad.

Because someone is more likely to cheat? I'm not sure I'd agree.

Are you suggesting that people should live their sex lives based on a handful of studies?

can you explain why you need studies to show its GOOD? why not studies that show it doesnt matter?

and why exactly do studies showing its associated with some negative outcome automatically mean it caused that outcome? if it is associated with some negative outcome, that says very little about how important that association is. just using some common sense, and understanding how n count is entirely voluntarily disclosed, trying to actually use that information as a proxy for something like cheating makes no sense. you filter out the people who are honest, and select for people who are dishonest. id venture to guess dishonesty is more strongly associated with cheating than the actual n count itself.

[–]salphonPurple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (18 children) | Copy Link

why not studies that show it doesnt matter?

Works for me too, but every study says, that high-n people are more likely to cheat and divorce.

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Every study also shows that people without a college education are more likely to divorce. Do you feel as passionately about college education as you do about n count? If your main concern is divorce risk, why hyper fixate on this one factor?

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (16 children) | Copy Link

This is like arguing that secular people are bad because they’re more likely to divorce than religious people. But since I’m not interested in a religious lifestyle, why should I care about that statistic?

[–]salphonPurple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (15 children) | Copy Link

You don't have to care. This is a debate subreddit. This is not a self-help subreddit. You can do whatever you want.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (14 children) | Copy Link

It’s caring to label someone as objectively β€œbad.” That’s clearly just your opinion too.

People tend to date other people who are pretty similar to themselves in personality and lifestyle values, so calling other people β€œbad” for having different dating priorities from you is kinda silly.

[–]salphonPurple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (13 children) | Copy Link

High-n women cheat and divorce more. I would say that is objectively bad if you want a real relationship or marriage.

[–]Icy_Ad_4544WOMAN πŸ’–*~ my husband is 6’4” ~*πŸ’– [score hidden] 4 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Please go to the adultery subreddit and read how many people admit they cheated simply because they had FOMO from having so few sexual partners. The high n-count folks have been there, done that so having extramarital sex isn’t that enticing (unless their current partner sucks in bed). Many low n count folks cheat at just for the opportunity to experience someone new.

People aren’t going to behave in textbook patterns. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It sounds like maybe you need to believe that low n count women aren’t fantasizing about what sex with another man feels like. I can understand that being an insecurity for men that know they don’t measure up to other men sexually. I’d guess men who feel low n count women are safer also assume the women aren’t making comparisons in the bedroom… while forgetting how much women gossip and brag about their past sexual encounters when they get together.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (9 children) | Copy Link

And so do secular people. But idc because I’m not interested in religion.

Just like how high n correlates very strongly with extroversion, someone who likes a partner who’s extroverted and exciting is not going to be concerned with n count. People prioritize different things.

[–]salphonPurple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (8 children) | Copy Link

If you don't care, why are you trying to debate? You want to hear personal stuff?

Okay: I love my low-n princess. Honestly I would be ashamed of myself if I married a high-n woman.

[–]Corbast7Blue WOMAN / gen Z old hag / feminist + leftist [score hidden] 4 days ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I’m arguing that high n women are not objectively bad like so many pilled men want us all to believe, they just have a personality and lifestyle that you’re not personally compatible with. It seems like yall want slutty women to have some karmic comeuppance because you resent that they had β€œeasy casual sex” which is not as accessible to men. As if it were a crime, and only for women apparently.

So I find it very weird to negatively fixate on this specific type of woman that you’re allegedly not attracted to, instead of having a live and let live attitude. My sluttier friends are great people with big hearts, and none of them have ever cheated on their partners either. They do just fine with the type of men they’re into.

My guy I already explained to you how some random correlation to divorce does not register to how most people pick partners. The high n women you obsess over likely weren’t even asked for their n count as a dating strategy by their partners, they were more likely picked for their (gasp) outgoing and fun personalities, and overall chemistry and compatibility. You know, how most normal people date.

[–] salphon Purple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago   (4 children) | Copy Link

Why are you making things personal? I don't care about high-n women. They are trash to me. I'm happily married and I'm here to debate.

The past is not always the future repeated, but the most likely to reoccur. This is basic psychology.

Lmao.

>The past is not always the future repeated, but the most likely to reoccur.

Okay, but we’re not talking about people with a history of cheating or a history of divorces / messy relationships, otherwise I’d agree with you. You’re now trying to argue that a higher n person will most likely go on to cheat, even if they’ve never cheated before. Which is not the same as saying they’re more likely to cheat compared to a low n person.

This is like trying to argue that anyone who used to drink at parties in college is very likely to become an alcoholic if you get in a relationship with them. Those things aren’t very proportional at all.

[–] salphon Purple Pill Man [score hidden] 4 days ago   (1 child) | Copy Link

No, I'm arguing that high-n people cheat more likely than low-n people.

A heavy drinker is more likely to become an alcoholic. It doesn't matter whether they're in a relationship or not. Just like a high-n person will keep having sex with other people.

No, I'm arguing that high-n people cheat more likely than low-n people.

This does not line up with you saying β€œ The past is not always the future repeated, but the most likely to reoccur.” You can have a high n and have never cheated. Hell, it might even more true for high n women than it is for high n men.

A heavy drinker is more likely to become an alcoholic. It doesn't matter whether they're in a relationship or not. Just like a high-n person will keep having sex with other people.

Ok yet most peopleΒ  also aren’t fretting over whether or not their prospective partner got drunk in their adventurous younger years. They could hypothetically be hiding their desire to beΒ  a full blown alcoholic until they lock someone down, which is the argument frequently made about women who used to have casual sex.

Again the only way your new argument makes sense is if someone specifically has a history of cheating and other dishonest/unethical behavior.

As a perma-virgin who has never been on a date, I get confuced. I see people say things online that doesn't match with what I see in reality?

Online I hear that short men never get dates, in real life I see them with beautiful women. I also hear that young women don't like old men. But in real life I see couples with older men and young women. I also hear that single mothers are undesirable. In real life I see them getting married all the time.

Again, I have no personal experience so I can be wrong. What Reddit and other online spaces claim never match up with what I see in the real world? Can someone please explain?

Haven't women decided that hypocritical standards are okay as well because "everyone is entitled to their preferences"? Or does that only apply to women's preferences again? Because women have tons of hypocritical preferences and standards.

theres lots of people in this world. people have a wide variety of likes, dislikes, values, priorities.

people love to argue generalities here, but broad generalizations will always miss large swathes of people. as an individual, out there looking for individuals, id argue these generalities arent very relevant. if youre short, and lets say 60% of women dont like short men, you could easily not notice that fact if the other 40% are overrepresented in your circle.

[–]Gold_Sheepherder6569No Pill man 3 points4 points5 points 5 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you speak in absolutes you will get debunked very easily but there is data on this shorter men are more likely to be rejected by women, both men and women prefer younger partners(the age age gap between hetero couples is 2.2 years in the US) and single moms and dads are seen as less attractive mates. Just because the likelihood of something is low even extremely low doesn't mean it would never happen.

[–]Logos1789Man 3 points4 points5 points 5 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It also doesn’t mean that it was those people’s preference, which shows up in things like leverage/deference within the relationship, probability of relationship dissolution, etc.

The guy might also have offsetting factors like money, impending inheritance, large penis size, social status, etc.

β€œCaring about N count is stupid because a person could just lie!”

Using this same logic, it would be stupid to have a dealbreaker about any past behavior that can’t be 100% verified.

Why care if a partner cheated or not in the past? They could just lie about it. Why care if a partner had an STD in the past? They could just lie about it. Why care if someone used hard drugs in the past? They could just lie about it.

[–]Logos1789Man 1 point2 points3 points 5 days ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]ta06012022Man 5 points6 points7 points 5 days ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]Logos1789Man 1 point2 points3 points 5 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Alright, then let me rephrase my stance:

It’s most beneficial to society for people to pair with those they happen to socialize with in their young adulthood

[–]ta06012022Man [score hidden] 4 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know if that's most beneficial for society. I know a lot of couples that met that way in college and are still together. I also had some relationships that started that way. It's very organic and it's great if it happens.

But I also know a lot of successful couples who met on dating apps. The benefit there is that it expands your options beyond your social network and can provide better options. I had lots of good, single options in my social circle in college, but after college I had far fewer of those options. Dating apps provided better quality options than my immediate social circle.

[–]Icy_Ad_4544WOMAN πŸ’–*~ my husband is 6’4” ~*πŸ’– 3 points4 points5 points 5 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s basically it. Most people aren’t honest. Dating is just luck and finding someone you tolerate who tolerates your own annoying behavior back. It is pretty pointless to worry about someone’s past because..well..it’s the past and most people change throughout their lifetimes.

[–]Just_Alternative3167Man 8 points9 points10 points 5 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Agree this point infuriates me

[–]ta06012022Man 2 points3 points4 points 5 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It might infuriate you, but it's valid. All those examples he points to are things you're never going to know about someone with any certainty. It's pointless to obsess over something that's unknowable.

[–]ta06012022Man 3 points4 points5 points 5 days ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why care if a partner cheated or not in the past? They could just lie about it. Why care if a partner had an STD in the past? They could just lie about it. Why care if someone used hard drugs in the past? They could just lie about it.

It's kind of pointless to worry too much about any of those things, because to your point, people can just lie about them. That's probably especially true for cheating. I think very few people would admit it to a new partner. You can ask about any of those things, but if you get the "good" answer in response, it provides almost zero assurance.

It's fine to care about those things in theory, as long as you accept that you basically have no way of knowing the answer unless someone volunteers something negative to you. I guess I don't stress too much about the unknowable being unknowable.

[–]Icy_Ad_4544WOMAN πŸ’–*~ my husband is 6’4” ~*πŸ’– 2 points3 points4 points 5 days ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's only a rise in single people if you define "single" as "unmarried". For the last several decades, cohabitation has been replacing marriage for many couples (see figure 8).

The overall coupling rate (marriage + cohabitation) for young Americans stopped falling around 2014 and has actually been rebounding slightly since 2019. As Millennials aged out of the 18-29 age group and were replaced by more Gen Z, coupling rates stabilized then started rising slightly.
