I'll use an example for myself I have natural chivalric tendencies that I do without thinking sometimes, for example at a bar once for a girl I was talking to but not interested in I put my hoodie down on her chair when all of the chairs were wet from rain outside. She told me later that it made her like me and she thought that it was cute but honestly I was thinking a lot more rationally about it; I know having a wet ass sucks so it bothered me to let her get a wet ass. I took the wet ass myself because I know I can handle it and it makes me more comfortable to know someone else won't have to experience it.

I ask because I'm trying to find out the line between where simping is a negative and where it actually works, as a lot of guys these days think even telling a woman she's cute is simping. On one hand I get where they are coming from but on the other hand I'm the type of person who if I think it I'll say it just for the sake of speaking my mind, not necessarily just trying to gas her up; and I compliment men as well if I really feel like something about their style or whatever impresses me.

My main take away is that you probably don't have to force yourself out of chivalric behavior to get laid and I think dudes are taking it to far now. Although simping is cancer and should be crushed; I see it more as a lifestyle or personality disorder not general kindness or speaking your mind.
