What sets humans apart from animals one might argue is the ability for sophisticated communication and thinking.

There’s people who have pointed out that the myth of the “Alpha male cave man” with a harem of women could be easily defeated by 3 beta males ganging up on him. Strength in numbers. Men can organize for better dating privileges and that may indeed be better than fighting other men individually for them.

I’d even argue that men kindof did do this it just had unexpected blowback. Men organized to stop women from gatekeeping sex by requiring marriage because they stopped asking women to marry them in many instances. This was maybe a win for men as now a man isn’t risking half his wealth for pussy.

However the unanticipated consequence was now women are just dating the top 20% of men and many men are going completely sexless and dateless. So the win had an unexpected loss as well.

Human males fight each other for pussy all the time, that’s a big part of what war is about. You go to war and if you win your side would kill or enslave the men and then fuck their women. I thought women didn’t like war and killing though 🤔

When a male animal wins a pack over another male, does he ask the females if they are willing to have sex with him? No, he won, so the female and access to sex is his. So if men fight over a woman, it's because they see her as a form of prey, a prize that can be won and taken without her having to decide. There is no respect for women in that.

In modern society, a man can neither win nor work for the right to sex. He is not entitled to sex, even if he is in a long-term relationship with the woman or they are married. So the idea of men fighting over a woman is more of an outdated holdover or symbolic game.

If some men want sex yet are unwilling to even work or fight for it.. nor do they respect women, what makes them think they are entitled to it?

Sex is a voluntary activity between willing participants. I don't work or fight for sex the same way I don't work or fight for friendship. If someone required me to perform labour or compete with other's to "win" sex/friendship from them, they're the type of person I wouldn't like to touch with a ten foot pole

A man is not entitled to having sex with a woman unless she is his wife his fiance or his girlfriend. I will say that a lot of men will fight and work for sex and still never get it. The resentment is most definitely from the fact that they can't get it. They're upset and frustrated.

Are you arguing that we should take cues from non-human animals? If this is the case then what about animals that commonly have groups consisting of one or two males, and a number of females, and their offspring (a "harem" for lack of a better word).

If human women don't want to participate in that kind of behaviour does it make women pathetic? Of course not. If human women don't want to be in a harem, is that the reason why some of them have negative attitudes towards men? Of course not.

Women have spent the past 50-75 years disrespecting men and it has only been amplified 100 -fold over the 2010s. Women have lost their claim to being respected just for being women.
