I think this is the way forward that men may need to embrace, unless mandatory paternity tests just become a natural part of the process involved in child-birthing in a hospital.

What baffles me is why does blame fully, or almost fully, get shifted to the guy when he decides to walk away from children that he thought were his? Why are we so protective of criminals, especially when they're women, these days?

Solution: Get that test! Be upfront about your desire for it way before you have kids.

Change "way before you have kids" to "while you're dating" and we're on the same page.

I think very few women would care if men actually let us know what the deal is before we jumped into a relationship with them.

Hell, I think this should extend to other things too. Tell us if you have an n-count preference. Tell us if you don't believe in alimony or child support. Tell us if you think men love unconditionally, and women can't.

Speaking of men loving unconditionally:

Well, if my partner were to insist on a patertinity test before working together to get me pregnant, I’d just opt not to have biological children with him, we can adopt instead. I have no qualms with having an adopted child over a biological child of my own, so I’d be having a biological child because he specifically wanted to have one.

I’m not putting my body through all that in order to give him a biological child of his own if he’s not going to trust that it’s actually his. So if he wants to be 100% certain whether or not the child is or is not biologically his, than adoption will give him the 100% certainty that the child is not biologically his.

Emotional blackmail/Social shaming, as a man you can't win you'll look bad regardless but If i were in that position i would not support another mans child and I would leave. Though in some crazy countries I heard you can be forced to pay for anothers child?

It's obvious manipulation by women to control the man, and it's proven by the fact that there is no situation where the woman loses. This is why men must reject these attempts by women and reassert control over the situation. Women have gained way too much leverage, and it must be corrected. Take away welfare, criminalize paternity fraud, etc.

If a few years have passed and the paternity test shows you are not the father, and you choose to jettison yourself from the kid's life:

This should change. Nobody should be forced to take care of a child when they were deceived into being the father. I would think that even some women would agree that this is unreasonable.

But I don't agree with the mandatory paternity test desire. Relationships are built upon trust, and wanting a paternity test shows that a man just doesn't fully trust his partner.

Yep. The long and short of it is simply that women don't want to even go near accountability or criticism. But they also want to have all the leverage. The man must have no leverage because that could prevent the woman from being able to act however she wants and still reap the benefits of acting respectably

This is super simple, just communicate.

Do not have unprotected sex with anyone without first having conversations about: - what happens if you get pregnant - I expect a paternity test, non negotiable

That gives a woman the choice to walk away. Rather then waiting until she’s pregnant, which is too late. Personally how men answer those two above questions can be deal breakers for me, so even though I use protection I have those conversations VERY early on.

If you request to have the paternity test, that is grounds for divorce as that shows that you do not trust your wife.

When has this ever be grounds for divorce? Romantic partners do not trust each other all the time without divorcing. If someone divorces over this, there is more grounds to assume the child really isn't from the husband. What an insane take to divorce a healthy marriage if the child is the husband's. I don't see the reason to discuss it. Ask for paternity test. And if you are clever and don't want your woman to think it's about trust, remove the focus from her and put it on your relationship with the child. "I need that paternity test, so when i get to an emotional weak spot, maybe when we are fiting some years in the future, i don't want to have that as a weapon against you or the child, to accuse you of cheating or the child of not being mine. When i get jealous, because you spend time with a colleague, i will maybe not be able to stop my mind from going to "maybe he is the father". I just want to take away the munition to hurt myself or others, by just having the evidence that prohibits me from weaponizing the paternity against myself or others.".

The solution is do the test in secret. If she can cheat and hide it from you, you can hide a box from here. Unless your in a country that bans paternity tests or needs both parents or agree you should be fine.
