Negativity and depression must serve to a purpose. They must close old roads so that you can walk on new ones. If you use them to close all your roads they are not serving their purpose, like an immune system that starts attacking healthy parts of your body. You should ask yourself "how did this negativity helped me to improve"? If it does not just ignore it.

What you fail to realise is that not all incels were born as negative people and they only became so bitter after years of rejection and lies.

I am very confident about my intellectual capabilities and my career as an engineer. My bosses frequently praise me for my good ideas and problem solving skills. In most aspects of life I'm doing well.

When it comes to relationships however, it's a complete disaster. For decades I heard the same bullshit about personality and what not. I try to strike conversations with average looking women but I could see the disgust in their eyes. It seems that only morbidly obese/ older women/ single mothers have shown interest in me. People have tried to hook me up with these women for years and shamed me when I did not play ball. I'm not overweight my self but I'm no good looking bloke either. I tried to date skinny women with not so good looking faces but I still got no luck.

After years of trying different tactics I just accepted the fact that it's not mostly about personality but it's mostly about the looks.

Why some people have to keep insisting that it's all about personality while completely disregarding my life experiences is beyond me and to be frank, such people have turned me into a bitter person who rather be left alone. It's hard not to be so negative when all you are given is bullshit advice that never really works.

And no, I'm not dating women who are fatter or way older than me. I don't think that its fair that a 65Kg man should date a 120Kg woman or date someone old enough to be his mother or who has kids from someone else.

I don't go around complaining about a lack of girlfriends, people around me are always asking me why I'm still single and I'm sick and tired of having to lie in order to get them of my backs, otherwise as soon as I say that I'm too ugly, I'll get the same rhetoric that is dished aroudn here. I don't know why, but the incels sub brought me some level of comfort and happiness, knowing that there are other men out there who go through the same life hurdles.

I'll tell you about my rescued cat and her inspiring recovery. A couple years ago, my room mate came to me and asked if i could adopt another cat. I already had two cats, a rat, and a gecko, but this poor cat was in dire straits. She used to live alone with a geriatric old man who needed regular care from a visiting nurse and caretaker. The old man died suddenly, and it turns out that he willed his cat to his nurse. This nurse begrudgingly took the cat, and she is a psycho who had no business raising a pet. for perspective, this woman lost custody of her own children due to repeated neglect.

My room mate and other people who worked with that woman and saw that she was totally neglecting the cat. She locked the poor cat in a bathroom and forgot to feed and water her. My room mate and others who were concerned were about to take the cat to a shelter if they couldn't find someone to adopt her, so we decided to take her in and see if all three cats could get along.

The cat is half Himalayan, so she is a beautiful long haired cat. She is a munchkin cat, which means she has unusually short legs like a dachshund dog. She was also declawed, and that combined with her munchkin body makes it difficult for her to run, climb, and fight like a normal cat. She can only jump about 3ft high.

I thought that she may have been mentally handicapped when she first arrived because she had no idea how to interact with people or other cats. She often peed on the bathroom floor or in my dirty laundry, and her overall hygiene lackluster for a cat. When she did use the litter box, she never buried her poo. She was extremely affectionate towards people like Himalayans are, but she didn't know when to stop and when to leave people alone. She always wanted to be in my lap, and she always woke me up in the middle of the night and right before dawn because she wanted attention. She was really obsessed with her drinking water - it's like she couldn't get enough and was always begging me to refresh her water bowl. She was terrified of other cats, so she got really aggressive around them. She freaked out and violently hissed whenever she sensed that another cat was near, and it took her years to eventually learn to trust other cats. It was hilarious to see her waddle-sprint while she chased after my dominant Queen B cat.

It was difficult to train her. She kept me up at night, pissed on my work pants, puked on my bed, and then didn't understand what she did wrong. I considered giving her away to my other bleeding heart cat friend. After some time, I realized that all of these issues were due to neglect and isolation, not mental handicap. Cats who don't know how to bury their poop were usually separated from their mothers too early and didn't get a chance to learn. Cats who have a habit of peeing on floors, laundry, and furniture usually picked up that habit out of necessity when they were locked up indoors without a proper and clean litter box. She had no social skills with people or other animals because she had lived alone and isolated with a dying man. She was obsessed with clean water because she probably went long periods without any source of water besides a toilet. Thankfully, she doesn't show any signs of having experienced violence or yelling.

Another thing we eventually noticed is that she has very poor eyesight. She can focus on objects within 2ft of her, but she always loses track of toys and moving objects when they get farther away. We think this may have contributed to her utter terror of other cats. She can't see well enough to interpret other cat's body language, so she was always ready to defend herself when other cats were just in the same room. She learned to trust my other cats, though, and she even shares a bed with my super chill cat.

Anyway, this cat has made incredible improvements. She uses her litter box 100% of the time now, and she keeps herself as clean as a long haired cat can. She knows that she shouldn't wake people up and patiently waits for you to wake up before she starts purring in your ear. She even learned to stop being so obnoxious with her begging habits. Everyone comments how she has become more confident and vibrant, and she even seems younger and more agile. I'm glad I kept her and remained patient because she is not a bad cat. She only needed guidance and opportunities to replace bad habits that she picked up to cope with her fucked up past.

Show less fortunate creatures and people kindness and patience, and they might surprise you. They often did not choose their station. People and animals often do not get to choose who their abusers are and when they have an influence in their life. Given the opportunity, though, the downtrodden, stunted, and traumatized can make great strides towards a happier and more functional life.

To what extent are you aware of the problem of distinguishing cause and effect?

Are they negative because of rejection, or are they rejected because of negativity?

Should 30+ single mothers just be more positive, smile more, be more feminine and happy, and those top 20 % men she’s willing to date will notice her and commit to her beyond fucking her Saturday night?

Is her bitterness and negativity really the cause here, or the effect of 100 pump and dumps and 100 ghostings?

Or does she need to work out, eat healthier, stop smoking, be less crass and bitchy when testing men, re-assess her view of life, lower her standards towards realism, and learn to love men who aren’t celebrites in addition to herself and her child?

The negativity is merely a portal to the positivity. It is the negativity that reveals an authentic emotional wound. Once the wound is excised, allowed to bleed and drip all over the internet, validated by hordes of seemingly nihilistic alt right pretending sycohphantic rad feminists married to libertards or warlords, are we then able to recognize total acceptance and trust.
