Young (straight white, but Asians can apply too) men have been the engine of overwhelmingly lot of relevant processes - from sciences to the bloody revolutions. The American Revolution was straight white young men, the French Revolution was straight white men, the Communist Revolutions were straight white men - hell, even the emancipation of slaves and liberation of concentration camps was straight white men. The best others, and by that I mean mostly women, could do was hold signs. Hold signs and have everything served for you.

I may not share it, but I understand the Left/women's fear of them.

Well, TRP changed me from a bleeding heart liberal socialist to a conservative libertarian. Maybe I'm just prone to extreme beliefs but I certainly feel more like myself on this end of the spectrum.

TRP has also led to me to discover many great sources of information. Studying philosophy, many insightful books on social dynamics, meditation, and has overall increased my discipline. All of those things came after TRP. The only thing that didn't was lifting, but coincidentally I found TRP right around the same time I got into lifting.

It's no bullshit attitude has led me to stop feeling sorry for myself and instead take charge of my life. Thanks to TRP, I now have the direction I've been looking for my whole life. The direction that this society is supposed to give young boys but doesn't because of bullshit Feminism.

So go ahead and dismiss it. I don't give a fuck. It worked for me.

That aside, some of us care about the kids suckered into TRP because, as ludicrous as it is, a lot of these straight white boys really do feel disenfranchised. And disenfranchised young men are easy to radicalize. I'd rather not have more Elliot Rogers out there.

I've never had trouble with women, but when I got out of a 6 year relationship I decided to brush up on my skills and theory and 6 months later I'm in shape again, happy, focused, and I have 3 women pining after me for relationships and some fuck buddies on the side, from a mans perspective this is sexual success. Its at the point where my success is causing moral dilemmas.

they are a good population sample for understanding hateful/self-centered children having tantrums, i.e. adolescent/adult narcissists (who typically have the emotional development of children). and obviously for some, they are amusing to make fun of, but i think that's not particularly constructive (however I'm not sure they are made worse by people treating them like that, maybe it's a good check to their narcissism to be constantly reminded that the people they don't care about, don't like, won't confer on them the high status they desire).

It is tempting just to write them off. Your characterization of the majority of TRP is fairly accurate. The common entry point for a typical subscriber is that they are young, short, unattractive, socially awkward, anxious, lacking role models, incel or rejected or cheated on. They are desperate to feel better. Their lack of success with women makes it very easy to sell them on misogynistic concepts. The package is wrapped with clumsy theories derived from the psuedo-science of evolutionary psychology. However, these theories reinforce that their lack of success is not so much attributable to them but rather female biological imperatives coupled with poor parenting and societal misandry.

As another poster pointed out, TRP (and this sub) is rife with cognitive dissonance. Any criticism of TRP is violently protested and there is extremely little debate. Their side bar contains material that is demonstrably false but questioning it will get you banned. There is also the resort to "TRP is amoral" so any criticism is morality trolling which is also forbidden.

Why is it worth paying attention to? Because there are a significant number of boys and young men who are struggling with these issues and looking for help. It is in my interest to intercede in an attempt to influence the conversation or offer an alternative perspective. I have two sons and coach youth sports. Eventually, one of them will stumble upon TRP. There is nothing wrong with self-improvement, physical exercise, reading The Meditations or better communication with and understanding of women. I just want to point out the bs, hate and bro science so that they too might see it for what it is.

HELL no! I don't take any hate group seriously and mostly browse red pill for a laugh. They are still people with their (silly) opinions though, so I try to be serious on purple pill because, I don't know, its interesting to see how people hamster their prejudice. I find it reassuring how illogical and angry the Red Piller's are, I'm pretty sure most of them will realise how daft they are being sooner or later.

We shouldn't. Yes there is a lot of comedic relief to be found in trp, but it also make me sad. There's a few things that make sense among it all but not much.

But from their perspective, they shouldn't care what anyone else thinks.
