The books/podcast are focused on economics, not relationships but the chapters/episodes discussing the intersection between the two are golden. Examples are when they discuss the economics of marriage, debunking gender inequality, and pricing and legality of prostitution.

Again, its a pretty varied podcast. But the guest that do talk about relationships, are all top notch.

"Balanced" and "objective" are mutually exclusive. If in reality one side has it worse, and you say "this one side has it worse", you are not balanced. I'd say most people who seriously (not within a 2-minute TikTok) touch on these topics are quite fine in terms of objectivity, but their scope is usually limited to one side.

Again, here we get stuck in definition of "improve". The side that believes their condition to be worse will see its betterment as improvement, even at the other side's expense.

I’m a left leaning self loathing 36 yo liberal, so maybe I’m retarted, but I do think bill mahers show has a lot of value in this regard. He has a variety of guests on the panel. Yes he had Jordan Peterson on but usually with guests who get to challenge him.

He’s also had Richard reeves and Scott Galloway on before. They both strike me as male advocates who don’t resort to misogyny whereas Jp seems to have the more cynical view of women

I’ve read a few books including Frekonimics showing a lot of gender related perceptions are incorrect.

Personally, I don’t look at any one source or even a handful of sources. I look at a variety of sources and see what facts stand up.

When it comes to gender issues for example, feminism has won and lobbied for practices that advantage females over males in education, in job hiring in business ownership, in how domestic violence is handled and more. The Men’s movement in contrast has not lobbied to advantage men. This is a fundamental difference between the two movements. One is egalitarian, one promotes advantages for sex based advantages.

Similarly, it’s clear that marriage, divorce and family law favors women. That’s not a matter of what any single source says, that’s a matter of documented policy and practice.

This isn’t about any notable source, it’s about an overwhelming preponderance of evidence.

I think this content creator Charles Darwin came up with the best explanation of male/female nature and relationships and what each sex is attracted to out of everyone! Dude was a total genius

Then other content creators I enjoy are Frans De Waal and EO Wilson.

Frans de Waal’s last content called “Different: Gender through the eyes of a primatologist” is especially relevant!

You can’t “improve it”. The “way it was” is just a blip in history that wasn’t sustainable.

You find this is many boomers or trad cons lamenting the past, some magical time that if it worked it would t have gone away.

It didn’t work, and that’s why it ended. An experiment that couldn’t be sustained.

So things change. The center does not hold. Change is neither good nor bad, it just is.

So firstly, I'm not big on like, the idea one person or podcast has all the answers or right stuff. I think most people should develop a patchwork approach to life in which they take what is good from a person's work and discard what is bad. I also don't generally judge these people on their personal lives for similar reasons. You can behave like an absolute fool and still believe or say the correct things. And hopefully they're seeking out people who have more good to say than bad.

My top 2 are probably Rehab Room and Gerbert Johnson. I don't agree with everything, but they point out some harsh realities that others ignore, and they include some necessary humor.
