Anyway,

Favorite thing: Hot button gender issues can be discussed WITHOUT the the political correctness police of reddit at large, and inane red-pill falsehoods like women can't love, or ridiculous blue-pill notions like women are always victims at all times because patriarchy and can't lie blah blah are typically not espoused by the general readership. I hope.

Why I come back: I merely lurk. I used to read TRP a while back after a slow-death of a relationship. Some things I read struck a nerve with me.

Yes; being fit, dressing well, being more decisive, being more social, having moral principles, being a dick from time to time, and yes mild jealousy arousal will get a woman to love you (or casual sex if that's your thing...) Don't walk on eggshells, don't pedestalize, and demand that she hold up her end of the relationship bargain by pleasing you. It is disgusting that Feminists demand to be treated like queens yet balk that in return a man should demand to be treated like a king . . . Yet sadly the majority of reddit would find this paragraph misogynistic.

No; the notion that women can't love is ridiculous. To say that they do not posses honor or loyalty is to negate thousands of years of history (Lucretia, Cleopatra, Theodora), all female soldiers, most of our own mothers, and all women who stuck with abusive alcoholic jobless losers through thick and thin (kinda defies the notion of hypergamy) . . . Also, I think there is a strain of actual hatred of women in TRP, and I get that for many it is situational and people want a male-centric place to vent, but it is too much for me. The assortment of selection-bias reports like the super whore wife who fucked 25 dudes (yes, I just "slut shamed" because it is shameful) and the like will eventually poison one's mind. Like watching Fox News 24 hours a day.

Anyway, sorry that this is somewhat tangential and rant-y. I enjoy following the debates on both sides and do hope this subreddit continues to thrive

I think debate is good of itself. Some people here object that views don't ever change (which isn't true), but we at least strengthen our arguments and become better at communicating them. It's a better world when we better understand ourselves and each other, and PPD gives a platform to do just that on some contentious issues.

When I first came here I was skeptical of the value of this sub, but now I know better. I have been impressed with the depth of discussion on many complex topics. I have been forced to question what I believe, and there is real value in that.

I'm pretty sure I don't dislike any active contributors on this sub. That sounds underwhelming, but it's not something I can say about most subs.

Most people here are smarter than me, so it's nice to learn a thing or two. Also, it's nice to observe the "evolution" of the sub. I'm surprised that it's lasted this long and actually turned into something quite good. (thanks mods! I think you get way too much shit, but I for sure appreciate you).

Besides the above - because I apparently hate myself? I don't contribute that often but when I do I always end up pretty pissed off. It's hard to always be able to understand other people's viewpoints but I try.

It's good to see the RP guys that are logical and not that dogmatic, I admit despite supporting RP in other ways, I have gone to the subreddit to laugh at the guys who are clearly bitter and shocked by they idea of women having sex in the same way they would, if only they were given the opportunity.

The same goes in reverse, I assumed that BP people were the sort of dogmatic haters you find on manboobz and srs.

My favourite part of the sub is that it gives me a place, with enforced rules in place, that allows me to debate and discuss an ideology I don't agree with. I love challenging my beliefs and views, and one of the best ways to do that is to ask for evidence and reasoning from people who are immersed in, and passionate about, the subject.

Unfortunately for me, I came into the pill world the day that the red pillers took down /r/redpilldebate and then I learnt that TRP treats anyone who questions their beliefs as a "concern troll" and bans them (or bans them before posting on the suspicion that they might "troll" them later!) and I was quite gutted that I could only interact with the odd RPer who dared enter TBP.

So I've always been hugely supportive of this sub being around, as it gives me a chance to change my position if any good arguments come up.

Yeah, I have to say this sub rocks. You can definitely broaden your horizons, but I guess it's pointless in the end, at least for me. There are questions that will not be answered for now. A lot of my personal experience clicks with what some of the RP users say. And science hasn't done much to prove or disprove some of the questions. So, all what you have is experience. And when other people have similar experiences and observation, it kinda adds to validity of it. Sure, it might all be bias, but I doubt that. Probably not everything is true, but also not everything is false.

I'm happy that BPers seem to be able to find equality and all that stuff. Good for them. But then, BP is very woman-centred ( well, that's what would you expect from a sub that ridicules sub dedicated to male sexual strategy). And I can find there beliefs, attitudes, which for I went for some time full-RP. Like discussion about how women dislike when men bottle up their feelings. One of the commenter then described one of these men, who would never say her compliments, wouldn't say how much he appreciates her, etc. And I didn't find anything about his passions, insecurities, his humanity. It really gives me the feeling that this whole talk about 'Men being not bottled up' from women is more of an abstract idea based on equality of both sexes, rather than really wanting men to show them their feelings.

And for RP... I've appreciated it for being a place where you can discuss politically incorrect ideas about sexes. About discussing what's attractive to women, and what not. And sometimes for the words, which did help me motivate myself. But then I guess I should seek motivation from a healthier place... TRP is not right 100%, and the ideas that women can't love men, are less intelligent, lack honor, hamster all the time, are wrong. But the idea, that we're not similiar in what (in general) attracts us to opposite sex - yep. And it's good to discuss that without political correct atmosphere. This is what I've liked TRP for. But then again, the moderation team on the TRP is very authoritarian, no true dissenting opinions allowed, etc. So, meh.

I don't let other people fight my battles for me. And I'm sure as fuck not surprised that /u/redpillschool doesn't either.

I live life using my own discretion. I went on /r/changemyview and I had a courteous debate with most people. One girl said I had cognitive dissonance. I told her that I didn't, and proceeded with another question. She ignored the question and said "that's why they call it cognitive dissonance". At this point it was clear she was not debating anymore. I should go and cry to a mod. No, I told her to point out where the dissonance was. She replied with another snarky comment restating her point. Many people don't see what she was doing. She was trying to take a dig at me. So I hit her where it hurts and told her that I like doing dirty things with girls like her. She got hurt, I really did hit it where it hurt for her. She thought she couls just take a dig at me and some mod would just delete what she wrote, nope. She left that feeling shittier than she walked into it, maybe she will think twice next time before acting like a poop flinging monkey in a debate.

Of course I was banned, and her idiotic debating was deleted.

I don't let people take digs at me, and if someone escalates something on me, I will escalate something on them.

So you better ban me as well. I'm not joking.

Alternatively, you can leave people alone that were not the initial aggressors. Your sub, your choice.

Tl;dr, reinstate /u/redpillschool or I'm gone/will only fuck around on this sub for the most part.

As for your question, the only reason I'm here is because there is no alternative and it pops up in my feed from time to time. The reason being what /u/reals_before_feels stated. Then again, I did create /r/redbluedebate and I'm thinking of what can be done with it. Maybe having 5 blue mods and 5 red mods. Exploring ideas.

On a side note, I really like /u/alphabetmod, he's my favorite commenter on this sub. He seems more red than blue to me. The comments I've read, he's on point, and very logical.

Honestly I think this sub is a complete waste of time and not conducive to improving the lives of anyone involved. This sub will only strengthen a red pill users views, I also don't think a blue pill user will budge either.

It's mental masturbation. I know I'm here in it with all of you and I'm not proud of that fact. I'm not as mentally strong as I'd like to be, and I know it's my choice to stay on reddit.

It's definitely an interesting sub. I hope it will continue to grow, would love to see debates on current events, relationship examples and such from both perspectives.

What keeps me coming back? I'm a huge misanthrope and I like to take out my hatred of the human race on redditors. The people who post here are (apparently, I've only been here for a few minutes) some of the most delusional, useless idiots I've heard of and so it seems a good place for me to vent.
