A commenter said something that I thought was pretty interesting and true but never really thought about:

It’s interesting how “it’s how I was raised” is still an acceptable answer when the people who say that are more than willing to defy several other aspects of how they were raised.

I actually laughed in real life when reading this because to me it seems so true. There are so many people who do just this. For example, the girl who expects the man to provide everything for her because it's how she was raised, but also gets man when the man doesn't want her to wear revealing clothing or post thirst traps online. Or the man who expects the wife to take care of the house and kids, with food ready when he's home, but also expects the woman to go 50/50.

Now I see no issue in people wanting what they want out of a relationship no matter how one sided but the justification of it's how I was raised just isn't consistent if you use it to accept only the things that are to your benefit.

What are your thoughts on this one?
