No.We would just end up shifting the scale. Even if everyone was a healthy weight, not everyone is attractive.

Hypergamy is mostly a problem when "below average" means disgusting landwhale with the same ratios as an overinflated baby. If a 4/10 meant "not the best face but skinny or atleast healthy BMI" the market would look dramatically different.

It would help. I'm not proud of it, but I dated a girl with a fupa. She was a sweet girl who was lovely to me and fun to hang out with, but I honestly not-even-exaggerating just shuddered there thinking about the physical aspect of that relationship. There's a terrible shortage of non-overweight girls here and really intense competition for the dwindling number of them. If you go out to the clubs, you'll see lots of fit, in-shape guys and lots of overweight girls who're bulging and overflowing from their tight dresses.

The annoying thing is that men on here act as if only female obesity is a problem. I see so many fat guys nowadays and the worst thing is many of them don't even know they're fat. Fatness impacts male facial attractiveness pretty significantly. The average guy would go up a point or two in the face just by getting down to 12% body fat and not to mention the body.

Even with the obesity epidemic, people nowadays are more attractive than people have been for maybe 99.99% or more of human history. No shit... we may not have been so often fat in the past but we were significantly more pockmarked, deformed, scarred, missing teeth, suffering from chronic illness, made infertile by infection, possessed of ugly moles and crocked teeth, crawling with lice of both head and body, smelly, unkempt and just generally a lot more fucked up in many ways.

Anyhow, the problem is more one of unreasonable expectations fostered by porn, photoshopping, celebrity culture etc... combined with masturbation being indulged in to the point that for many people it shapes and defines their desires, sexual behavior and reactions more than their interactions with real life partners ever will.

In such a situation face and genetics matter more. Since everyone is overall better looking people will get even more nitpicky. So today a below average but not ugly woman needs to not be fat, and she can be a 6, or a guy can be a 5. In a situation where more people are fit the woman will be stuck at 5, or the man at 4.

Your chance to move up in a system of equals is a lot lower vs going up against 70% of people that do not give a shit about their weight.

anyone that's overweight would see immediate results if they lost it, especially if they put on some lean muscle. The lifting aspect applies less to women but i dunno, the girls in my gym are fucking amazing so...i'm all for it

Nope. The top guys would just get even more thin, attractive women. Being in shape isn't good enough for some men to succeed. I think it's more of your genetic markers and pheromones that matter. Hence why some fat guys can still pull and some thin guys are still shit out of luck.

Many persons are not attracted to overweight people. Even if they themselves are over weight.

I've been a good looking person with dating problems and I can tell you.. that shit's unsettling. Such a hypocrite as this would lose their damn mind if they didn't have their appearance to put the blame on.

Fixing their fatness wouldn't fix dating problems, it would turn semi-pacified weighed down weirdos into fit and sexy piles of rage.

I think so, getting active and getting outside and socializing would both fix a lot. If the internet would be used more for information and less for socializing like it used to be in the 90's, that would help. Also if Americans incorporated more veggies in their diet + light exercise (keeping in mind diet is like 80% of weight loss). As long as people have the option of driving everywhere, eating fast food, and holing up in their rooms though, most people will choose the most comfortable option. There must be forced change.

No, it would not. If I would see fit girls, I'd start upping my standards; perhaps I'd insist on women who wear skirts when they're with me -- I don't know, but it wouldn't make a jot of difference to me, except perhaps force me to examine what I want beyond the fit body.

I'm about 70 pounds over weight. If I was skinny and in shape I would be retardedly attractive. It wouldn't be fair to other men. I've always felt that the constant humiliation of being fat keeps me some what humble.

No. The average men is simply not as a general rule attractive to women. While men do have the capacity to be attracted to average MOTOS, women do not. If I had to make a comparison, the average men is about as attractive to us as (I assume) a 50 year old, frumpy-looking, maybe slightly obese woman.

If the obesity problem were solved, they would find some other facet of looks to generate problems in the dating market. Basically, modern day western women are NOT going to be with anything less than the "top tier men" or perceived top tier men and will manufacture whatever diversion is necessary to stay away from lower quality men.

Weight is an issue when it comes to people being attracted to each other and deciding who to hook up with, but it's also a massive issue in the bedroom in terms of sexual satisfaction, which impacts LTRs, and I've broken up with a girl because of it when I just couldn't bear it anymore, when I was starting to make excuses not to see her because her weight was grossing me out.

When I'm with an overweight girl, there are lots of things I just won't have any interest in doing with her. She'll get the basic diddle-and-fuck service, but not the extras that a slim girl would get. I'm not going to go down on her or eat her ass or suck her toes or anything like that. I don't even like doggystyle or pronebone with overweight girls because there's usually some ass-funk smell when I flip them over because of the lack of air circulation in their ass crack. It doesn't even take much extra weight for ass-funk to start to become a thing.

This is bad for both of us; she misses out on awesome sex and I enjoy doing those things to girls I'm attracted to, so I miss out too by not being attracted enough to do them, and obviously if she's after an LTR, I'm much less likely to stick around because it's not nearly as satisfying for me as being with someone slim who fully turns me on. When I left that overweight girl and got with a slim girl again, it was light night and day in terms of my sexual satisfaction.

It impacts sex from a mechanical aspect too; my dick's not bad, but a bit of weight on a girl and suddenly my dick's effectively 2 inches shorter and keeps slipping out because her extra padding keeps me from fully penetrating her in some positions. Again, we both lose out.

I'm sure women have similar complaints from the other side too; if everyone was a normal weight, there would be a whole lot more sexually happy people, with more people hooking up and more people in satisfying relationships. There would be less people in the situation where everyone they find acceptably attractive is taken or not interested in them, and all that's left is people they can't bring themselves to date or can't have sexually satisfying relationships with. Terpers and bloopers alike would rejoice.
