The thing about the red pill that I still had trouble with was truly understanding that this was not just some theory that one or two people came up with. The fact is that intoxication has caused the slutification of America, even with the guys. Survey after survey shows that 90%+ of college women would rather have meaningful LTRs. Another part of the problem is that we have become a more nomadic society. As the family unit shrinks for most (Both my grandparents had four kids, none of their kids had as many children) of the productive class, it becomes easier for young people to move away from "home." You combine moving away, focusing on a career, focusing on getting a graduate level degree, and party culture, why anyone would have a serious LTR in college in today's era blows my mind. Most young people are getting into short term FWB type monogamous relationships.

I think both the men and women are becoming more aware that if they are going to go home for the summer, party without their significant other, etc., there is a strong likelihood that intoxication will lead to sexual activity with someone else. Thus, avoid technically "cheating" by never really being committed.

There is some hope though for some. There are plenty of spring break 2015 videos on YouTube that, gasp, have couples vacationing together. However, they are usually in the more low key areas. PCB and Cancun seem to be huge with the singles, or groups of guys/girls and a big emphasis on being in a constant state of intoxication. Ft. Lauderdale, Key West, Costa Rica, etc. seemed to be more popular with the couples. Plus, there are some videos that focus more on activities like sightseeing, snorkeling, etc., not so much on 24/7 being drunk or high.
