Someone here made a post discussing how there's no short acceptance, bald acceptance, or fat acceptance movement for men, despite the first two being something men can't really control, as opposed to women who choose to be promiscuous or not take care of their bodies.

When this dawned on me, this was the last straw for me and the reason I stopped considering myself a feminist. Feminists are trying to shame men into finding increasingly lower SMV women attractive, in spite of our biological instincts, by accusing us of one form or another of "shaming" if we don't. But these feminists, often the very same people, still follow (and even defend) their biological instinct to only consider the top 20% or so of men as romantic interests. With seemingly no sense of irony or hypocrisy, they'll happily shame short men and male virgins. If they find you unattractive you can be called a "creep."

And you know what? I understand why they do all this and wouldn't force them to change. I'm 5'3". I understand and accept that many women may find me less attractive simply because of my height. I can work out, wear flattering clothes, and be successful, but that's not gonna make me grow. I don't have a defeatist attitude about it. In fact it's comforting to know there are still ways I can make myself more attractive. But I am at peace with the fact that my height will generally not be considered an attractive feature of mine. I don't expect women to find me attractive for things I can't help, such as my height. All I expect in return is that I'm not shamed into accepting women with traits I find unattractive that they can help, such as a high partner count or obesity.

5'6" guy here. This shit is hilarious to me. For the most part women say they want x,y, or z but when you come at them with a dominant confidant attitude they still want you. When I was in high school I did music a lot and all the chicks loved me. Because I had some preselection then even more loved me. They can hate on short guys all they want because in reality it is just a shit test. They will still come around if your smv is high enough.

I still believe being tall would count in my favor but being short isn't that bad. Also tall women are kind of gross in my opinion. They all look gangly like Olive Oyl

It is my personal opinion that confident, secure people don't attack others about something they don't have control over. This is projection of insecurity.

As a short dude (5'5"), I can very much attest to the way the world (and especially women) look at us.

It sucks. But whatever. I'm not interested in fat chicks and we have every right to not be attracted to them. So do women have every right to not be attracted to short dudes. (of course... there is the main difference -> I can't just go to the gym and/or stop stuffing my face in order to become more attractive... but at least I can practice my RP'n)

My entire life I never thought once "hmm.. I'm kinda short" I'm 5'9"

My sister and my mother started short shaming me around 18-19 Y.o. If I defended myself like "uhh.. I'm pretty average I think guys.. not sure what your talking about", they would dig deeper and laugh saying I'm in denial etc. Say I have little man syndrome when I would get a temper, etc.

After years of it, I nearly developed an insecurity based on height.. and I'm telling you it never even once crossed my mind that other people were taller than me. Sorta like how tits are non-existent to a ass-man.

Edit: I have dated 6ft+ women.. height is not an issue for a confident man. ESPECIALLY when height is the last thing on YOUR mind. Fuck what others think about.

I'm a 5'10" guy here. I don't think too much about this. I'm sure it sucks if girls pass you over because you're too short but if you hang on (and make money,) there will be a time you will surpass these chicks on the totem pole. Woah that sucks. This has been eye opening for me. At 6'7'' I've pretty much always been "the tall guy". Heck in high school the basketball coach wanted me to stop playing football and play basketball instead just because of my height.

I've never really realized that being short is such a massive disadvantage. I mean yeah if you're a guy and you're below 5'10 you're shit out of luck but is it really THAT bad?!

Being a short man is extremely difficult. Women are allowed to HATE you. There is no "short acceptance" movement for you, no "real women dig midgets" posters. Women will not be called shallow or sexist for ignoring you. Disdain and cruelty towards you is casually accepted among females circles. I'm not even talking about being ignored, I'm talking about women proactively going out of their way to ridicule and other you.

And yet, as a man enduring western liberal academia, you are told your whole life, from a young age, by solipsistic feminist teachers that "since you are a man you are extremely privileged and will get special treatment from all parts of society".

Then you encounter reality, where women treat you like you have leprosy, men will often abuse you verbally and physically since you are an easy target, and you get told to fuck off for simply being POLITE. Women will call you creepy for saying "hello" to them or asking their name. Then, on top of all this shit, you have to read feminists talk about how oppressed they are and how privileged YOU are.

But short guys have a huge advantage. Since no one gives them respect, they have to take it, earn it, live it with every bit of strength they have. They have to learn not to think less of themselves, to love themselves for who they are. Unlike being a land whale who stuffs Twinkies down her face all day and complains that men who won't fuck her are misogynistic, being born short is something you can never change, and is in no way your fault. You have to deal with it.

In the end, you learn how to stand taller than anyone who was born with it.
