I dated a doctor once. NEVER AGAIN! Not only did she go around reminding folks everywhere that she was a doctor: but outside of medicine she had no common sense and was as dumb as a stump.

It's like a friend of mine who said no thanks to being introduced to an attorney. "Who wants to date a woman who argues for a living?"

Also happens with female lawyers. A friend of my SIL got married while in law school to a great guy (beta) who she'd been dating for a few years, he helped support the two of him while they she was in school. As soon as she graduated she divorced him and moved to DC with her cats to be a yougogrrrl activist lawyer. No way she could be married to a car salesman with her law degree!

The happy ending is that she hasn't found anyone in two years and will probably die alone. No one told her how useless she would be on the market at 32, and anyone who is good enough for her standards (judge, senator, president) wouldn't look at her twice at her age.

This is very true. When I worked in the ER, most of the female ER physicians were either cat ladies, bitter single bitches, married to a badass specialty doc/surgeon, or a small percentage that were actually just normal.

Most of the female doc's stated they were depressed and actually wished they hadn't gone into the profession...hmmm I wonder why lol

This is something that's very obvious in the workplace. In the hospital that I'm at. Female doctors are either married to a doctor or someone who makes more than a doctor. When I point out to them that they have all married money and status, I'm the superficial asshole, for sleeping around.

The worst thing is that female doctors are generally unattractive and bitchy therefore, if you are a doctor and I'm one, why would you take the time of day to even consider sleeping with one?

Younger, fitter, attractive women exist in all areas of life, some with much less attitude that don't think that a bachelor in medicine and surgery has suddenly pushed their smv up.

When I was in med school, this was very common.

Women literally became far more hypergamous after they went through medical school.

Also, they were often looking to marry another doctor and drop out of the profession.

Why marry another physician woman who is in debt and drops out?

All you get is a woman in her 30s who has a bunch of debt and "big ego due to being a physician".

The younger , attractive woman is better without an education.

The best thing about having two friends studying to become doctors is getting to hear stories of the way their female fellow studies bitch about things. Especially funny is hearing them talk about some girls being all frustrated because 'all the guys keep going for the nurses wtf.' There's so much projection in there, I'm not even sure where I'd begin were some chick to air such a concern to me.

I love this. This is an excellent sound-byte explanation for why women will not get what they've been promised by the feminist gestapo by chasing careers and male status for themselves.

Would it be sexist to suggest that women who are not willing to compromise on their hypergamous instincts would be happier by working to make themselves more attractive and sexually appealing in the ways that men value, as opposed to trying to feed their egos by falling into the feminist framework of how a woman's life should be structured?

There's an ethics professor at my Alma Mater who makes a fair amount more than her husband (~100k vs. 40k) who seems to be very happy with her relationship and her family. She seems like the kind of woman who voluntarily decided to disregard her hypergamous prerogative to marry up, and appears genuinely happy as a result.

So I guess what I'm ultimately asking is, what are some messages that we can convey to American women that, if listened to, would not only make them less miserable, but would help mend the damaged relations between men and women?

Med student here - I can relate to a lot of this thread. Women in professional careers, and medicine in particular are for the most part deeply unhappy. This is obviously not true for all women, but a large chunk of them for sure. They have such high expectations before they become doctors that once they achieve this level of 'power' their attraction will increase proportionally and they will be entitled to a larger 'pool' of men. This is actually the complete opposite of the truth. Women become less attractive the more power they attain, and their pool of men will be significantly reduced due to their natural hypergamous nature. Not only that, but their entitlement/standards/bitchiness levels go up as they get into med school, and thus further reduces their attractiveness. Its just a downward spiral. This is one of many reasons that the suicide rate in female doctors is 400% higher than that of the general female population. Women in medicine are deeply, deeply unhappy. For myself, a women who is career-driven is a big red flag. It goes against every ounce of their natural femininity. It is wise to avoid these women if you want a peaceful and happy relationship with lots of good sex.

First year med student here. Have yet to see the hypergamy in full effect but no doubt it's looming. Several female classmates have already cut off prior relationships.

If any of the guys in my class had an ounce of alpha/game in them they would absolutely slay. Of the 90 or so male classmates, a solid 85 or so are full-on betas who will wife (or already have wifed) the first woman to show interest. Its unfrigginbelievable. So many dudes go into the field chasing money, prestige, power etc to make them something they inherently aren't.

Pre-meds out there: be damn sure you are going into medicine out of passion. It's mindboggling how blue pill the entire profession is(outside of some surgeons). The antithesis of TRP.

Thank god I started digesting RP ideas when I did.

Can attest to this.

Even within the medical community there is hypergamy. A female pediatrician is usually married to a male surgeon, but a female surgeon would never look twice at an emergentologist.

Once you enter the surgical specialties it gets hilarious. The female general surgeon wants to get with the orthopods, but the orthopods usually get hitched to a nurse, etc..

This is off topic but medical school is where my Red Pill awakening started. I'd often hit on nursing students and those that were interested were completely remorseless when it came to fucking behind the backs of their fiancés or even husbands. Another thing that shocked me at the time was that calling them on it didn't make them like me less.

Guys, today nurses are just as bad if not worse. Nowadays shouting orders at a nurse can get you sent to sensitivity training and the nursing lobby has succeeded in making the "nursing practitioner" designation that effectively lets them diagnose and prescribe medications, sometimes with zero doctor oversight (and guess what - they make up for a lack of education by throwing expensive tests at everyone and yet still end up with misdiagnosis rates that are higher than doctors).

I've met way too many hamplanet nurses that think they are what doctors thought they were in the 80s. I would only date nurses and assistants that are LPN and lower.

I'm confused why there are people saying being intelligent is irrelevant to dating. My goal is to cover all my bases and be the total package. Obviously using a degree to make up for being ugly won't work, but it is supposed to be a plus. Also, for long term relationships most men that aren't independently wealthy want a woman that is smart enough to grow and sustain wealth (I would hope).

People fuck like rabbits in the typical high power jobs with high entrance barrier: medical, military, law. Of course you can blame it on hypergamy (which would be true partially) but a big factor is that in order to get into these fields you NEED to sacrifice a lot of time.

And after you get into those fields you sacrifice even more time while spending time with people that sacrificed the same. It's basically a rat race , combined with hypergamy, combined with the mirage of men in uniform (be it actual uniform, surgeon's gown or suit, doesn't matter). Also, spend enough time with people that killed their personal lives over the same thing you do.. you'll inevitably build some sort of rapport with your coworkers.

Being in graduate school for biomedical research (not to be a doctor) the amount of hypergamy in medical school is limitless. There are a few alphas who clean up with the vast majority of the women. The nerdy guys are of course utilized as objects for their utility, i.e. helping the girls pass their courses. 80/20 rules the day in medical school

Friend of mine's sister was a medical student. She used tell us that the girls in her class were all miserable "because no man was good enough". There was one girl who was hot as well as smart, who stayed single her entire time in college, because she preferred to be alone, rather than date down. Unbelievable.
