I like SimplePickup. They do a good job making easily digestible content for BP schmucks, and if their viewers actually go apply the ideas, they will definitely get better success than they get doing nothing. They are trying to appeal to the masses, create viral content that's spreadable on twitter / FB without getting shamed, and get themselves covered as an alternative to RSD / TRP / Roosh / Mystery style creepery.

But they should never mistake their rising popularity with content quality. In the same way that "Top Ten Ways to Lose Belly Fat for the Summer" is not comparable to Arnold's Bodybuilding Encyclopedia... SimplePickup is not even in comparison with TRP. The discussions on here, the ideas, the specialized advice you get on here is exceptional. We discuss career, we discuss fashion, fitness, game, openers, social circle building, spinning plates, club game, college game. We approach things from an outer game and inner game angle, and we are focused on cutting down YOUR male hamster.

In short, if you are a beta, you'll get some mileage out of SimplePickup, but they will be 100% focused on teaching you how to become a more successful beta.

TRP will do something unique - it will show you MULTIPLE pathways to different types of alpha success, and then show you what you need to get there. We'll be honest about the amount of work it will take there, and shoot down your fantasy of it happening next week.

Pickup companies always try to skewer the companies who deviate from the mold of what their idealistic view of PU should be. When RSD was blowing up back in the 2000s, all these random puahate gurus were focused on "exposing" the evil cult of RSD. Meanwhile, RSD was in their content-heyday and producing awesome, fairly RP shit, and giving out free content and free tours.

All these random PUAs you read about in the game... when they faded from the spotlight, they started beefing and calling out other PUAs. Whoever was trending at the time, whoever was popular to hate on. They are keyboard warriors.

I actually love PU. I think it's a sport that teaches men so much, and it's so damn hard at first for betas, which is why it's exactly what betas need to do. If you can't cold approach - ie go up to a very attractive stranger, get a conversation going, and try to close to some kind of next step... then you are not a high SMV alpha. You may have high SMV, but if you cannot put it into action in the world and use it, it's inactionable, effectively useless SMV.

So I don't ever want to start a TRP versus PU type of thing, because TRP and PU both cover a common area - sexual strategy - and PU theory is the result of many brilliant guys spending their mental energy to crack the problem of how to become a sexual-worthy male. It's good stuff by and large.

But comparing it to TRP is just not doable. TRP is like university, PU is a department. Becoming an educated man ready for the world means so much more than JUST learning biology or English or math or whatever your major of choice is. It means learning some of all the subjects and fusing them together to create a diverse body of knowledge that you can act on and apply in any situation. It means learning from a diverse set of people who might disagree with each other.

Which is another fantastic thing about TRP. As long as you're not trolling or being BP or disingenuous, you can contribute your own knowledge and experiences here. If one senior member says women like to be raped by high value men, you can disagree! His stance is not "OFFICIAL TRP STANCE ON RAPE AND WOMEN" it's his own opinion based off of observations and ideas he has. If you want to write up a counter post, go do it, and as long as you put in logic, thought, and baseline writing skill into your post... it won't get deleted.

No other PU site or masculinity related site - NONE - has this quality. On RoK, it's all dudes Roosh has approved and they are all parroting the same hate-bait, clickbait, entry-level manosphere stuff. Top ten ways to annoy a feminist, top ten masculine movies, etc. The content is controlled and intended to be monetizable or viral.

SimplePickup? Like I said, they do a good job creating digestible content for views, but you're only going to get 1 perspective.

RSD, you basically get 2-3 perspectives. You get Tyler, you get old Julien, you get old Jeffy. Nowdays, most of the instructors have kind of converged to Tyler's brand of self-help, motivation, life advice centric pickup. (Which is not a bad thing, it just means you lack much diversity of perspective.)

TRP gives you the full range. Old, young, PU-focused, career-focused, pump and dump focused, marriage focused... you're getting knowledge from so many different sources. This is what these other sites cannot understand.

That's where I got my start to be fair, the concept of pickup was enthralling to me, they made the whole "getting women" situation relatable. That led me here, from here I went to RSD. They can say what they want to cover their own asses, the concepts are the same, don't treat women special and they'll fall head over heels for you, because you'll be different from all of the people who stare and never do.

Simple Pickup is a business, they want to distance themselves from TRP because it will make them more money. They most likely employ a team of copywriters to write this stuff, just like any other successful online business.

Their copywriters are not even necessarily interested in the manosphere, they're just going to be hired for their copywriting ability. Simple Pickups material is subpar because it appeals to betas/omegas who have no clue. It doesn't attempt to go as deep as TRP.

I think they're trying to please the white-knights which are a large portion of their audience, they clearly differentiate themselves from TRP which doesn't really have really good press in the media. That title was an invitation to be criticized, of course it doesn't really deserve it once you read it but you can easily screencap the title and first paragraph (as they did) and everyone will think you're just leaving the rest out because it's an apology of rape. One thing I still dont get about most PUAs is if they really believe the bs they sell or they're just among the biggest business geniuses ever. However, I'm leaning towards the latter one.

Think about this: for some serious bucks, they sell some fishy stopgap "solution" to desperate guys who have absolutely no knowledge about women and life in general. They tell them exactly what those guys want to hear: that everyone can get women, including you! You don't have to change a bit, you're amazing the way you are (even though many times, these guys are higher SMV, mind you), it's just that you don't do it enough. But don't worry, we'll teach you how to score the girl of your dreams!

They have these bootcamps and they go together to clubs to make the newbies test their newfound "knowledge" (without any foundation to this). And voilá, somehow Average Joe scores with hottie no. 46844, hooray! But here's my opinion: it's all set up. Too good to be true. They must have paid some girls so that they seduce all these Joes and give themselves up to the guys. And meanwhile, Patrick PUA is laughing because he still got a shitload of money from these guys knowing that they probably won't score shit otherwise. He reinforced them in their bluepill views, catering to their "you need a woman to life a full life" mantra. He gave them what (they thought...) they wanted while making sure about weeding out his possible competition.

But the guys who really believe in this pussy-pedestalizing PUA bullshit (and only that, this is the key), and that they can make those guys' lives better by selling it are simply stupid. It's all like building a house without foundation.

Make no mistake, I have always said that Simple Pickup is a business before it's a real aid for men. A business must remain in the good graces of the public, and the public is blue pill. They know that their largest fanbase will be guys who despise the alphas who "disrespect women," so they sell them a fake version of alpha that avoids that behavior entirely. Simple Pickup's bread and butter is betas who want to get tail without ever risking being looked upon poorly. They want to simultaneously fuck girls while continuing their practices of worshipping the ground they walk on.

Tell me what's more realistic, a system that teaches you that you need to sacrifice your old idealistic view of the world and make sacrifices to get what you want, or a system that tells you that you can just make a few behavioral changes and suddenly women will love you and everyone will respect you?

So many extremely successful people in business will tell you over and over again that you can never please everyone, but those same people will turn around and sell you the illusion that you can.
