A combination of an increasing threshold of unrealistic expectations and a decline in her overall standings of the type of men she is able to obtain has led to these results. It's not going to get any better. She better figure out a means to compromise on her expectations or accept a life alone.

It is one thing for her to talk about her disgust with men in online dating, but when it applies to in person reactions? That sounds like it is more of a her problem than a problem with the men. Very few men can occupy the apex spot. So it is best for women to figure out if that getting that kind of man is a realistic goal. It certainly is not for a woman in her 40s.

I've seen this play out for years. No one's good enough for them while they're in their twenties and thirties. Usually around their mid-forties to early fifties the panic sets in. This is when they start to realize men are no longer attracted to them the way they use to be ten or twenty years ago.

The issue they don't realize is when a women is in her forties going into her fifties and older they bring almost nothing to the table for most men except having their hand out. By this age most men are wise to the game. The entitlement attitude will change, but not for the good. Almost all of these type of women become very bitter towards men with an I don't need a man to take care of me philosophy. Everyone of these women to the day they die, is still trying to score a Mr. Perfect.
